at >30 FPS, w/ Amazing accuracy turned on, there is quite a flash w/ every note hit. It makes it tough to read if it was amazing or perfect, and just muddles up the screen a bit. Any chance you could tone it down the same as in 30fps?

also, in the options screen, pressing the allocated keyboard restart key starts the song but doesn't close the options window. plus, the mouse then disappears

I propose for scores to record if you get it on a rate higher than 1.0x, would be nice to play those 4 minute rock songs on 2-3x while cleaning levelrank.

Dunno what other people would think of this tho.

the flash is sort of a glow around the 'amazing' or 'perfect'. so makes it tough to read the accuracy and just adds extra visual noise

Not in favor of the high rate scores recording... I would think sometimes a higher rate can actually be beneficial.

I'm not sure if I agree with that. Could you give maybe like, an example of where it would be useful? I mean, maybe for like, to fix frame gaps in rolls and stuff, but there's still the fact that you /are/ playing the song faster.

You already listed why some files would be much easier. For example, Cutthroat's walls would be much easier, files with lots of one hand trills such as B.B. Revenge can be cheated as jumps at high speeds, it's mainly more on the fact that you can manipulate patterns at higher speeds more than anything honestly. Personally I'd think I have a better chance at AAAing Cutthroat and Skeletor at higher rates compared to AAAing it on 1.0, but I can imagine it being much harder for others.

Personally I'm not against it, since I don't really play for stats these days lol. I would much rather have it allowed to accumulate GT but not count towards your ranks though.

basically, rates squeeze arrows together which makes them faster. Most often, 1-2 frame gaps will convert to 1 frame gaps or 0.

skeletor wall would be so much easier.

Maybe force it to be atleast 1.5x (arbitrary number) so that higher end songs would be too fast to be bs'd, and if you can get the AAA that fast you probably deserve to have it anyway. I was simply thinking of a way to make those tedious easy files take less time to go through.

Still opposed to it because it removes the challenge/boredom of higher level players taking on really easy/long songs. A player can take a level 3/100, 2.0 rate it, and complete it in half of the time.

Personally...I honestly don't see this as a bad thing at all?

Idk, basically, making FFR more fun to play, rather than disable features that could really help out.

And it's not like a player's integrity is totally harmed by playing on rates to get a song over with. Because at a point, cleaning up lower level ranks stops being fun and ends up being a chore. Even in like, real life, getting chores out of the way with quicker, more innovative methods feels better in my opinion

besides, level 3/100s aren't supposed to be tailored to high level players. Why not let the higher level players tailor their experience to themselves?

Yeah I can understand how it would bother people that already went through it "the hard boring way" But I do think it would help people who have yet to do it. I don't think it would make you a worse player ethically for getting through it that way.
