Re: Beta Engine: R^3 [Updated 7/26/13]
If you're creative with custom judge settings you can set up a way to see if you hit early or late. Obviously scores won't record, but it's a good learning tool.

Re: Beta Engine: R^3 [Updated 7/26/13]
I know I have mentioned this quite a few times, but can you please add in the FFR Orbular noteskin to this engine? I want to use this skin again while still being able to use the R^3 engine, but in order for me to play with this skin I need to resort back to the R^2 engine. Being the tourn has started, I figured I'd ask now and try and get it in early so I wont have to use the R^2 engine throughout the whole tourn. lolComment

I have a suggestion that I think r3 needs. It needs a quality button like in velocity and legacy engines for in browser play.Comment

If you're using a standalone, you can adjust R^3's quality in Flash Player by going to View -> Quality -> (whatever quality you'd like).
EDIT: also
As a ITG player who is used to seeing Excellent- and -Excellent as indicators to whether or not I'm hitting early or late, I actually would advocate this idea. The toughest part is preventing it from being a distraction, as you will likely see a huge span of both judgments due to frame-based timing.I got an idea that I would really like but I don't know if anyone else supports it or not. An option to make it so that there's some way to tell if you were early or late when you get a good. So it could just say Early Good or Late Good instead of just Good or something like that. I still get too many goods where I don't know if I was too early or too late so it's hard for me to improve my timing.Last edited by TC_Halogen; 10-27-2013, 03:52 PM.Comment

Re: Beta Engine: R^3 [Updated 7/26/13]
edit: posting suggestions here, as the OP of the FFR Suggestions thread only asks for suggestions for the velocity engine (?)
• New Display Option: Show "Perfect" Accuracy
- When used in correlation with Show "Amazing" Accuracy, only non-perfect judgements would be displayed.
- This would serve as a very valuable display option to those who become disorientated by all the information being displayed on the screen, in the same way others might be disorientated by showing "Marvelous" accuracy.
• Resetting prompts a confirmation dialogue box
• Design a proper (and more meaningful) pop-up screen upon unlocking a Token
- Achieving a momentous milestone, such as any of the Otaku Speedvibe or Scarhand tokens desperately deserves a more triumphant and significant unlock screen.
- This message must be made dismissible, as currently the only way to save the image is by attempting to right click through shaking hands and nerves to upload to imgur a brief, cut-off message at the bottom of the screen which disappears after a second.
- perhaps the message could also include the image of whatever token you just unlocked?
- I have already discussed this with arc in skype, and I do understand the message was thrown in rather haphazardly just so that it was shown in the first place. I look forward to what improvements can be made (hopefully before I unlock oni, lol)Last edited by PrawnSkunk; 10-27-2013, 05:37 PM.Comment
