Re: How to get better at FFR
A very large percentage of the playerbaseOriginally posted by pourvous13I just gotta ask...
who doesn't play with three fingers..
You can play two-handed four fingered on the keypad, you can play index on the keypad, you can use the keypad/numpad together to play spread, or you can use a keymapper to use any keys you likeand.. how the HECK do you manage to do that??
My ability increased by orders of magnitude switching from one hand/3 finger to spread. Certain patters are much easier for spread (long streams) some are easier for index (jumpstream) but basically, you ought to just try the different styles until you find one that you like. There are expert players who use pretty much all the possible patterns of playing.like seriously, does it really help??
The speed mods basically function to make the arrows X times further apart and scroll X times faster. So if you played on 2.0x, the arrows would be twice as far apart, and in order to still match the music, scroll twice as fast. People use them because FFR is very much a reflex game, and by giving yourself less time to see the arrows, you are more able to just sort of zone out and play. Plus, the harder songs on 1.0 have an awful lot of arrows quite close together and it is just flat easier to tell patterns apart when the arrows have larger gaps between them.Originally posted by Mephistophiluswhat do these mods do and why do you use them?
AAA'ing a level is to get the highest possible score on that level. On -most- levels in the game, the highest possible score is 100% perfects, no good/average/miss/boo, and a full combo. There are some songs though, where it is impossible to actually get nothing but perfects, in which case the AAA is just whatever the actual best possible score is.what is an "AAA level"?Comment

Re: How to get better at FFR
I heard about using two hands, and have tried it. it's like driving automatic with your left and right foot at the same. but I do feel it's important for the very difficult and up levels.Comment
