Go to speeed 1.5 or 1.75. I found those the best.

Arrows going down or up, whatevers more comfy ( I have mine go down )

I learned 1 handed, but then went 2 handed when I realized basically all the Master rated songs are impossible 1 handed.

I've been playing 5 days =p so I'm still a noob I guess. But it seems to me I really only lose to those Guru's out there, and a select few who are JUST a little better then me ^_^

you've only been playing 5 days and you think your pretty good? thats kinda funny cause you arnt at least not yet. ive seen some of your playbacks and there quite easy songs. so i wouldnt brag

but if you really want to get better find what speed your comfortable at and if you dont do so good on a song you practice it till you can AAA it

I'm not exactly new to this game. But i have just returned from a very, very long break from ffr, and i have found that using 2 hands does help alot =).

All I did was play Alpha HElix ALOT...
Now I can FC it sometimes.
And yes , the songs DO have beats and the keys ( most of the time ) go along with it.
Listen to the song , and flow the keys with it...yeah...

i think "straight to video" is a good way to start training.. stepfile is mixed with interesting doublesteps and good rythm. And if you get a fc you'll earn a lot of cresits in that song

Just practice and i find that two handed is way harder for me anyways. I can AAA some songs and have a couple of hard skill tokens. Using speed mods does help a lot though so try those.

ok, i had to put my input into this thread.first off, i love the new drop down list that they made.that sould help alot of poeple.you can make it sort the songs by difficulty & just start fromt the easiest and work your way up.
