go to settings, click on the speed you want (1,1.25,1.50,1.75,2 and 3) and close the settings screen by clicking setting again

I got better by myself, accualy, I started on begginer, but then I relized that expert/heavy wasn't so hard! BTW, if you suck, listen to the song, the keys carry me on

Do a lot of boxing and Karate, hit your fist against a wall. It works ;p

the songs have beats, so the keys {most of the time} will follow the beat of the song.
easy as pie.
no need for hacking.
just play ALOt.

I started with a light lvl 3 :P i lost the first times but then? .. finally i could do a lvl 3 .. then on to a harder lvl 3 .. and so on...then lvl 4 .. and the same again :P then woaw! Standard lvl 5! then 6 and the finally hard lvl 7 :O .. then 8, 9 .. and now i can do chocolate rain (lvl 10) .. well sometimes i lose :P

JUST TRAIN TRAIN AND TRAIN! then you will do it someday!

Well, I just played against harder people when they picked harder songs. I used to not be able FC anything, even the easy songs. Although its only been like a month since I started playing, I can survive through pretty much every song besides the most challenging ones.

Im completly new to this, but I can already do most of the songs on the harder levels. Perhaps coz I play DDR at home alot, using my controler (dont have a dance mat). And ive been playin DDR for years!

Practice definatly makes things easier.

you just have to start easy and work you way up
figure out whats comfortable to you.. and roll with it. (:

At the beginning don't think about AAAs or FCs. Just play harder song that you can,it worked a lot for me.
(*And still working; Im not even trying to AAA Easy->Difficult song,i can do it later when i'll be better,now im just training with 11+ ones.)

Stepmania will improve your ability at a faster rate then FFR as it forces you to hit more accurately. I recommend playing at least three times as much SM then you do FFR.
