Seriously if you wanna get good quick you gotta spend a billion hours practicing. People aren't lying when they say you gotta practice to get good. My advice is start using two hands asap and play on 2x. It'll seem fast at first but you get used to it.
Well first off if you play one handed and you haven't played too long, switch to two-handed immediately since only a select few seem to have gotten real good at one hand and most of your good people use two. I tried two hand but it just made me suck so im grinding my one hand, Thank god i hardly use that hand for anything else or i would have Carpal tunnel by now :S. But anyway speedmods/screen cutting does help, i use 1.5x myself and im probably going to go up to 1.75x soon. Anyway hope that helped someone
have a friend help you learn how to play 2 handed i.e. take 2 arrows and let them have the other 2 and then when they are good enough let them try it with both hands
or do what i did
whore out neoMAX with twohands lol

My advice: Play 2 Hands either with (3-finger techinque) or spread.
Practice PAing easy songs FIRST before moving on to harder ones.
Get finger speed by playing lots of Stepmania.
Practice with 100% effort.

The idea that RDCP 3 may come out in the future is a fun thought to have~

stepmania's at a whole 'nother level from ffr :P the more you get exposed to harder songs and faster environments, the better you'll get, which makes it a good medium. I play spread now, and it makes it a lot easier. if someone doesn't now how it can work with ffr, there's a short download (admin-free 2 xD so don't feel restricted) that you can remap the arrow keys to wherever you want. google it or ask for link (lazy). Speeds and screen-cutting definitely works, and stepmania's probably the biggest boost you can get. I get bigger combos on 2x speed now, and I can finish just about every song (so its back to square one now, lawl). 'tis more-or-less on the path of what will-o-wisp0 me said.
