HEy im not particualarly a newbie but im still not that good :P I can do some difficult songs but im now stuck on Very difficult.
I mean i can do some of the bits, but when it comes to places where there's arrows everywhere, i just can't do it and resort to button mashing. They just go up so fast i dunno which is next. Any tips for that? I tried shrinking my screen and stuff but it doesn't help. I been practicing the same song for like 10 days now and have only managed to get passed the certain hard bit like 5 times. It just confuses me to a point where i just give up

Hence my rant of How to get better at FFR

First and foremost: PRACTICE!!!!!! this cannot be stressed enough. How do you get better at football? How do you master the gameplay of chess? How does one become a rocket scientist?

Who wants to be good at playing chess????

just remember not to play songs that are too hard for you
but if you want to...don't button mash, if need be when the arrows are going really fast and your hand(s) can't move fast enough, just concentrate on certain rows...like just the left and down arrows, yea you could miss a lot, but it can be better than a big combination of boos and misses, you won't mash, and it can help you get used to the rest...idno if you understand that

Only hit one out of every two arrows. So on 16th streams, just hit red and blue arrows, treat the yellow arrows like the mines in stepmania.

EDIT: This is what I used to do, and it made me feel like I was cheating. So try not to use this all the time.

Well, that works for passing, but in the end its better to get practice hitting all of the arrows.

to anyone that hasn't played ddr or SM or anything like that before they start ffr, LIKE ME, I suggest you use down arrows.

For some reason, they are the easiest in my opinion. I couldnt play up arrows worth a s**t, so I switch to down arrows and it was way easier

yea i aggree with that... i switched mine to down and now i am gettin alot better alot faster... it reall does help for some reason

If you smoke before playing ffr you will improve immensly try smoking herbs
