Wow excellent thanks for the help. I've been playing since a week now and i was wondering why i was unable to do the easy and even very easy ones but now your info will probably help me a lot!
Well heres a good way to try and get better:
Make a song and put it into stepmania.
Dont worry about making the song great or sync or anything. Your not going to publish it. Think of it as your practice song. Try using your favorite song (Like anything scooter lol)
Add notes you have trouble with like multiple left and right arrows or tons of freeze arrows. Use the cut and paste to buy more time.
Raise the BMP if you must so the better you get the faster you can play.
If your playing a certain song and you wanna get great at it play the difficulties multiple times
Play begginer 10 times
Light 15 times
Standard 10 times
Heavy enough times to get great at it.
If your playing a song thats super hard (Quasar, zero one ect...) start playing with C400 and the rate at atleast....0.5 or so.
Because what he says makes sense. Starting slow, and then working your way up to faster, harder songs is a great way to get good. Working on patterns that you have difficulty with is also a great idea. I had trouble with crossovers on DDR, but then I started playing songs with lots of them, and eventually I developed well enough to pass them.
I used to play 1-handed, and got to about 500k on CIA Rave doing so. Then I switched to 2-handed, and I'm almost double my old score, with only 1.5 months work. I played 1-handed for almost two years, then switched and pwned.
BTW: 2-hand: left on DL on arrow keys, right on UR on 86.
