Thanks afro, I understand completely now. I'm currently 80k poor right now, so I'll prolly spend time at platoons, get a couple of glove atk drops, and sell them for profit. And I don't have a yellow WG, so I'll see what I can do in terms of getting one. And I'll think about 100% my lama. Really, my old lama was 61 m.atk with 0 slots left, with no INT bonus, so a 3 INT loss isn't a big deal. I'll prolly end up 100%'ing this lama, which will give me 64 m.atk (and I might throw in a 60% or so to get a lil' bit of INT also).

Dude, 60% scroll costs like 2 mil or more in FM.

They add 2 magic attack and 1 int. That means it really adds 3 magic attack per scroll.

Now, 100% scrolls cost MUCH less. They add 1 magic attack. So you'll be saving many millions of mesos and only being about 10 magic attack weaker> This 10 magic attack can easily be made up in magic pills and by scrolling other gear which will be with you until the end (ie cape, earrings, or simply paying for a glove or helm).

Any news on the private servers?

Yeah. One of them turned out to be totally fake. The author got a good laugh at everyone.

Another one has supposedly been in the works for a while now. The guy who blew the whistle on the fake one basically said "these guys here are actually working on it."

Hey Chromer, since you pretty much stopped playing MS anyway (you did, right?), you think I could borrow the glove from your mage?

The other day I asked Jeff if I gave him an arten and he said I had given it to you. I thought I had given it to MM (who, as far as I know, may still be using it if he actually was the one I gave it to).

Either way, you probably have a dark arten and you probably never use it so you think I could use it for a while?

I haven't stopped playing. It's just hard to play alot because there are so many hackers at Grupins that I can't train without getting frustrated.

My pure int fire mage recieved funds from ONLY himself and a level 29 mage and still managed to scroll a Lama to 72/+6 and still had money left over. If you manage your money well, IAAW, you can really get some amazing things in this game. However, do not overestimate your money making/efficiency skills. I underestimate myself all of the time, which is why I am almost always satisfied with the results. Overestimating makes you broke.

Yeah, and not just one private server, an entire thing that private servers could run on. Now there's only one hope left.

If IAAW would gtfo out of AR and go to jr/big wraiths, then hit up zombies, he could make money so easily. Leveling a Cleric is easy as hell. It took me like 3 weeks to get to 50+. If you simply train when you're on and don't **** around by doing pointless quests or talking to maple whores, you can level in no time.

You can easily make over 2-3mil per day at zombies, same goes for wraiths depending on drops (brown moon gloves and dark crystal ores.)

He's a cleric though, so he should get a black umbrella eventually, especially since there seems to be getting more and more and more black umbrellas every day.

Ideally, he wouldn't be using the lama for very long, so it's really not worth putting a lot of money into, especially when that money would be more effective in the long run if he invested in glove, hat, cape, earring, etc.

EDIT: if you notice, I also have 1 more luk than I need, so that's another wasted ap... not gonna reset it though, because then I'd have to wear my int shoes instead of my speed ones all of the time.

Go to your hosts file (normally in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc). First, right click on the hosts file and click Properties. Make sure the "read-only" box is unticked. Open the hosts file with Notepad, delete the line about MapleStory (or Gameguard I forgot) and then save it (not as a text file, when you save it click on the old file itself and save over it).

That's what worked for me.

Now, notice this: Holy Arrow becomes base 120 when taking into account holy weakness. This means that Holy Arrow at it's best is the same as Fire Arrow when it's neutral.

And note: As a fire mage, I will tell you that me training on dark monsters (where my FA would do as much as a priest's HA) never was a viable training option. Training at zombies was slow as balls for me in the 60s (I couldn't even really try until late 60s/early 70s), while clerics running around Healing things got them tons and tons of exp very quickly. I never even considered going to dark stone gollems, because that's just a stupid place for money or exp. HA REALLY sucks.

Finished the Maple Umbrella quest.
