    New World Tour Area =D!!! It would be good to have a massive 1x-2x party there but it's kinda late for that. There are weak enemies on the bottom and stronger ones on top. Mehhhh it's fun but the rewards have been crappy so far. I'm just hoping there is something at the end of the long chain of quests. =]

      I originally chose Sakura because it seemed the least empty and I didn't want to run into actual Japanese players. That, and Sakura is the name of the main character of CCS, one of my favorite shows evar.

      PS, my JMS assassin is still level 34. I haven't re-installed the client yet and I probably won't.

          Re: MapleStory

          Put it this way. For every 4 EXP you get in jMS, they make it 5. (also known as 1.25x EXP)

          Blue Snails? 4 -> 5.
          Slimes? 10 -> 12.
          Boars? 42 -> 52.
          Crows? Enemies that are EVERYWHERE, take one hit to kill, drop mana elixers and hp potions, and are weak to lightning? 60 -> 75
          Zombies? 190 -> 237.
          Bains? 1800 -> 2,250.
          GPW? 2,800 -> 3,500.
          Zakum? 7,000,000 -> 8,750,000.

          Yes, jMS is better. Not to mention that the shops in jMS are beyond cheap. I believe 10atk work gloves are like 5~10m? Something like that. There, if it's not insanely awesome, it's not worth much. And what they consider insanely awesome is beyond attainable in gMS.

            gMS is better because I can read, do quests, and talk to almost anyone. Which is far and away better than 1.25x experience, 2x cards, better monsters, better maps, better prices. jMS is frustrating to a social player like myself. Of course, it's a godsend for someone like Noah... lol

              Squeek, you forgot the +20 watk pots sold in JMS from NPCs. Some versions have Jipang but those pots have been nerfed. JMS retains all the ridiculous exp rates and awesomeness.

              But yeah, if you're social it can be hard playing JMS. I like being able to communicate and all, but the people in JMS have been nicer to me than the GMS ones despite the communication barrier. I've partied with people and traded fame and stuff like that without knowing a word of Japanese. The people there know the advantages of partying and will accept an invite, only quitting if they see you idling or being retarded. Several times I will find out I'm invading somebody's map and rather than telling me to leave, they just avoid me and we share the map half and half. The JMS players really know how to play the game, and are usually either just playing or just talking. They don't seem to do the two combined usually. XD
              So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

              In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

              So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
              And I write the blog for their website.

              Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

                    I like JMS much better not just because of the better maps, items, and exp. There are almost no hackers (Afro and I found hackers at gangsters today o_O), the people are much nicer and usually take time to try and help you out, even if the both of you can't speak both languages well. I've met quite a few who could speak english well enough to help me do a quest and such. The people are much more polite and respectful, and they know how to play the game well and make it fun for everyone. And it doesn't hurt that I'm learning how to read and write a bit better. I doubt I'll make it very far in JMS, but it is much more then then GMS at the moment. It'll be even more fun if more people start playing =]

                      Also, JMS has so much more stuff. Not just the maps and such, but the interface. Cam was saying questing was fun, and I was getting bored at foxes/raccoons anyway (plus I was losing money) so I've been running around doing quests. JMS makes it much easier to do quests. Check it:

                      I took that SS cuz of the slime quest (note the 5/1000 in the corner on the quest list), but it shows the awesome quest tracker. Basically, you go through the list of quests you have active and there is a button that, when clicked, puts it on that lil quest tracker. You can have 5 quests there total, so you can keep track of what you're getting. Hell of a lot better than opening your inventory every so often and seeing how many items you have. Also, for somebody who doesn't know Japanese, you can open your inventory and the list and look for matching symbols (as I'm doing in that SS and discovered that I need 1k slimes), which is easier than moving back and forth between the quest list and the inventory for every quest.
                      So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

                        It's an idea stolen from WoW, but they implemented it pretty well.

                        The semblance to WoW is uncanny, though.

Banditcom may come close because he seems bored out of his mind most of the day, but that's about it. Yeah, he has other characters, but none he focuses on until level 40-50/etc. like Afrobean and others like me.
