Anyone wanna make a JMS account for me? I'm getting pwned with the postal address...I can enter one, but then it leads me to a page...and when I click the [i'm assuming "confirm"] button it doesn't go anywhere.

Long story short: amount healed to yourself is based off of magic attack and HP has nothing to do with it. However, I'm pumping int now. Hopefully I can heal myself fully very soon.

Well there were people on both sides of this issue.

I just wanted to completely prove one way or the other.

And actually, the majority of people say that magic attack affects your ability to do damage with heal while your HP gives you your ability to heal party members. The majority believes this. I figure, there are only two possible outcomes: I prove everyone wrong, or if they were to be right, I'd have a kick ass level 3x cleric who can go to grims.

And yeah just the other day someone was like "ya my friend made that build before too and he couldn't heal himself at all" Obviously he was exaggerating, since I could heal myself 2 every time with a clean wooden wand, but yeah. I was already up to level 30. No reason not to go through with it to completion. The only chink in the plan I can see is if I'll need a lot more int before I'll be able to heal myself. And with me adding int every level and increasing heal's level every level, I should be getting closer and closer to healing myself full exponentionally.

EDIT: oh hey here's an idea. Can anyone tell me how much HP a normal build cleric heals themself for with level 1 heal? Lukless or luk doesn't matter much, because both get to the point of fully healing self by the time it's maxed. Just wondering how far below average I am here with my self heal rate.

Plus once you hit Lama level, you can probably pick up a nice lama staff for a TON of matk. That'll throw you over whatever barrier you need to be over guaranteed.

Anyway, you guys think I would be justified in making a new thread at SW to ask what a normal build cleric would heal themself with level 1 heal?

Holy crap, I disproved that TWO YEARS AGO. WHY ARE PEOPLE SO RETARDED.

ONLY in cMS does Heal work based on HP. That's why they made Blood Clerics popular there. You do more damage with it and you heal your party members along with having a lot more HP than you should.

There's a reason my HP cleric was full-int until level 30. From then on, it was full HP. I didn't have any other skill to rely on like you do, so there was no way to level otherwise.

I lost all faith in Sleepywood a long time ago, but this is just ridiculous. The MS community is absolutely retarded. They never listen to people who actually do research.

Anyway Afro, a normal Cleric heals the exact percent. 400 hp heals ~40hp at level one. It's just because of how much M.Attack they have at that level.

And since I happen to have a cleric on Windia with that exact level of Magic Attack, I can tell you. Problem is, I'm off to work. See you in eight hours.

Sweet deal. I'll be trying to start a low dex/no dex warrior, because I think prices there would be a lot cheaper than inflated-gMS.

PS: Would I get far without knowing much Japanese? (I might recognize some chinese characters...but that's about it )

I'll get back to you later since I'm going out. I think I know the account name, but I'll just have to try a bunch of passwords. I'll get back to you by tonight. And I think I might start a I/L mage on jms.. or continue with my bandit. Still not sure yet. And you really don't need to know much Japanese to get around. Just simple things you need to know when you DO come across a japanese person. If they start talking to you, just say "wakarimasen" which means you don't understand.
