    Re: MapleStory

Man, tl;dr'd after Banditcom's post about ending in "Americans generally refers to people living in the United States" or something.

My opinion is that I like most Americans. I would come to like Japanese if I spoke Japanese, but hey, I don't. I don't dislike them, I just look at them with neutrality.

I do, however, like many people FFR doesn't. In fact, the way I view people is almost the opposite of that of FFR. I love weeaboos, the 13 year olds you consider "annoying"(they're actually pretty cool, and can be cute. Now I know coming from me, that sounds sexual, but it really isn't), the SG/MY, the hackers, etc.

However, I hate people who waste time. Specifically, my time. There's nothing more annoying than a kid in a PQ who takes 30 ****ing seconds to go from #1 to #2 while we yell at him/her.

Also, I love to listen to people rant. It actually calms me down.

You're taking it too literally I think. Sure, we're making a generalization, but just because there are a handful of cool people on GMS doesn't mean that most of them are like that. Which is exactly what a generalization is. I know there are cool people in GMS, it's just that I have to ask myself, do I want to put the time in to find those people? Or can I just go to a place where I know the people are GENERALLY kinder? It's not black and white. I understand where you're coming from, but generalizations aren't 100% true. You should know that. It's no excuse, but I'm just saying.. I think you're taking it a bit too literally when Noah and Chris are saying LAWL AMERICANS ON KAEDE SUCK BALLS HAX HAX HAX. Sorry if I'm putting words into their mouths, this is just what I think.

Again, I am not in Bera. I do not know what they are like around the guild or anyone else for that matter, other then the contact that I've had with them via AIM or JMS. Avoiding people doesn't neccessarily imply that someone is being pessimistic. It doesn't mean they are thinking "I think that all people are retards and thus I shall not make an effort to talk to any of them." Maybe something happened between friends and they didn't want to start it up again. Maybe they were content with the friends they already had. You have the right to make that generalization, but I just don't think you should use it to justify your point when there really is no evidence of it (from my understanding). Again, I'm this useless kid who has no idea, really, what has happened on Bera so I am a bit limited in what I can say.

Because you witness a murder everyday right? I get cutoff almost everyday. I would consider that a general situation. Just like I brush my teeth everyday and swim everyday. Unless you're homocidal, I doubt you witness, personally, a muder everyday.

I bet the Africans think Japan is selfish too. All context and viewpoints. Which comes back to the pessimism and why it is relevant.
I understand that maturity is a factor, but also remember that I'm basing my arguments off of when I was actually living in Japan with kids of all ages. And you're told by everyone to not speak in English in public? Noah and I do it all the time. And the "japs" (this is an offensive term in general. Used during WWII in the internment camps. My grandma told me this because she was IN one for the majority of her childhood.) probably get annoyed in Kaede because there are so many English speaking players who DON'T MAKE AN EFFORT to learn the Japanese language. Japanese people are all about respect. You can't automatically expect respect from someone when you don't have the decency to be respectful towards their culture.

I know. I'm not insulting you. I agree with you. But I also agree with Noah and Chris. It's all on context and viewpoints right? So in this case, nobody is wrong and nobody is right.

And Mal, I was exaggeratting it to prove my point. That's how the media reacted, which is probably what 99% of society thinks at this point. Which proves my point even further.

And really, I don't want to argue. We all have our friends, online, offline, GMS, JMS, but all that matters is that we're having fun right? So Jason, you can stay in GMS. I'm staying in JMS. I understand why you like GMS better and I hope you understand my thinking of JMS and the community.

About to go to work so I can't say all I want to, but I'll just go with this:

Japanese people are bashed in the head with respect from the day they're born.
Americans are bashed in the head with selfishness (yay capitalism!) from the day they're born.

This has a huge effect on how people will generally treat you in either society.
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

Are you asking us for your password?

The only account hackers I know are people who take it and do not give it back(one of them is a real life friend who hacks into accounts, sells the items on ebay, and buys crack with the money), so they won't be of much assistance.

Sometimes when you request a new password, the e-mail sends the verification code with extra space and it doesn't work.

Make sure when you copy the code from your e-mail, you don't have any spaces before or after the long string of letters and numbers.

Anyways, I may, or may not, be on MS for a while. I've been busy playing Audition. Meh, I'll soon get bored with it. But I'll probably play MS every now and then. I'm still lvl 50 and 4% from lvl 51.

So you said it was good but you're already getting bored of it?

                          You have really low standards.

I've been playing GunZ nearly everyday for the past year and a half. It is a good game, but with flaws.

Or, rather in an example everyone can relate to. I've been at FFR nearly every day now for over 3 years. But that isn't playing games, that's just discussion, which always changes and almost never gets old.
