Yeah, but that gear becomes obsolete by the time the priest can take a hit without it. I am quite sure than ANY priest who got enough ER will be able to take Grims by 90, if not a bit earlier.

So, that HP gear is great before 90, but what good does it do us after that?

I paid close to nothing for my HP suit. My anakamoon just happened to be my victim since it was all I had. First try passed 3/10 10%s.

And I don't care about HP scrolls since I don't play anymore. You have to understand that there is a vast difference between what I had available to me and what you have available to you.

What? There is not a vast difference between what I have available and what you had. Those scrolls I mentioned above are not out yet, and actually, even if they were, I wouldn't bother with it. I don't need more HP anymore, and I haven't for about 10 levels now.

Won't happen.

Before we get 4th job, we need Leafre. I would assume that before we get Leafre, we will be getting KFT. And if Nexon has a brain in their collective mind, they would get us Jipang as soon as possible.

Also, you must figure that we'll be getting useless patches: things like the Zakum raid system, common class scrolling skill, holiday events, maybe new meaningless quests etc.

There is no way that we'll get all of those things within a few months.

As for what we'll get in May: I would say either a recycle of last year's event in which maple weapons dropped, or a new set of maple weapons dropping (level 70? ). Or nothing worth mentioning, even. I wouldn't put it past Nexon to give us jack ****.

@Squeek Are you sure? It seems like I've been playing a whole lot longer than that.

@Afro if they released level 70 Maple weapons, that'd motivate me to continue playing on xDevinEx. Right now all I have to look forward to is:
- Level 70
- The boring training from level 70 to 80
- Gathering money so I can scroll things for like 1 int at a time :/

Why thank you. I didn't really care at all, but as I threw them on it got better and better. Actually, the three that passed were among the first five I put on.

Who says I can't start a sentence with a number? Some grammar 'tard who probably also says I have to add punctuation to a quoted sentence, right? Pfft. Squeekism, yo. Squeekism.

Yeah, I was supposed to give the cape back, but eh. He took my 25 HP cape and gave me his 40 HP since he leveled and got enough HP to take a C.Rog hit and live.

The Emergency Rescue Tubes were dropped by Grupins, actually. I got one for all of my friends the day they came out.

Afro, think outside of scrolls. Overall Int had just come out when I quit from the hunter guy in Nath, and that was the only way to get them. I was still under the old drop system; aqua road wasn't out; Omega Sector wasn't out.

A lot has changed. New weapons, new maps, etc.

Tosh: I only started playing a few weeks into my first semester of college. Some sources point to late September 2004. Either way, it's fall 2004.

I deal a bit better damage when I have more magic attack. The extra HP would do nothing for me. Sorry, but I'd rather wear my int hat and int cape that make me a bit stronger, than my HP hat and HP cape that do nothing in helping me survive a hit (since I already can take a hit and 115 more HP won't do anything to help).

In short:

int gear = slightly better damage
HP gear = weaker damage with no benefit from having extra HP

As for the extra damage I do with int gear: Sure it's not much, but it helps more than nothing.

As far as HP gear is concerned, nothing has changed. We don't have the overall for HP scrolls. We don't have the glove for HP scrolls. All of the HP gear you mentioned, is the same as mine; mine is just scrolled not as well.

Unless you're saying that I'm trying to make an argument for overall int scrolls versus overall def. Well, overall int is better, but they're expensive as hell. I don't even have an overall scrolled for int yet.

It sounds like you're trying to say I should use pig headband and emergency tube and cape scrolled for HP even though I don't need more HP. I am saying that I should use my +5 int hat, "my" Evil Wings, and +3 int cape.

Especially if you're partying (AGAIN, LIKE YOU SHOULD BE!) in Vikings or something that, you know, ISN'T going to take damage from Heal.

And just the fact that you have an Evil Wings is enough to prove a lot has changed. Werewolves were the only things that dropped those before. Low-spawning high-defense huge-damage jerks, they were. And they just looooved dropping shoes.

Just remember, skills run out. You might not notice. You might only live because you had more than enough HP when your skill ran out without your knowledge of it.

Also, if you really don't want to use HP equips based on the fact that you already have enough HP, then get Speed. Speed is the second-most important attribute for a Cleric. Int is only important during your soloing days (WHICH SHOULD BE OVER)

I guess you have been out of it for a while. No one does Vikings anymore. Not only are they all hacked now, but everyone is at Grims or Squids or Gobies.

Speaking of which, Priests get their best exp at higher levels at Grims these days. I'll admit I'd get slightly better exp at Squids probably (at my level, that is... I don't have max SR yet, so I can't handle bottoming too well), but I'd rather do Grims and get almost as good exp, save money on potions by not using MG (and if I didn't use MG at Squids I'd die from being careless), and have fun by actually dealing damage, even if it is minimal damage.

Irrelevant point. It could just as easily be a kage or DR or anything. My point was that it helps me more to use a weapon with more magic attack than a little bit of HP.

What? You're saying I might miss invincible running out and I'd die because of it? Not likely. I recast all buffs at once, so I know I have HS running out and bless running out before I'm in danger of death. I never die like this, and in fact, I believe I've only died once from it and that was a long time ago at MDT before I realized I needed invinc to live.

I do have speed. At best, it's over haste speed, in fact (not even using a speed weapon either). However, I try to keep a balance of int and speed. For example, my hat can give 5 int or 8 speed (3 speed of which are wasted due to the speed cap). My shoes can give 15 speed or 3 int. Due to this, I usually wear the speed shoes and the int hat. Note: a lot of the time in parties I have haste, so int shoes do come in handy. In the end though, I tend to have about 135 speed thanks to shoes, cape, and pill. Bone helm puts me over 140 theoretically, but the extra 5 speed really isn't worth it when I could get 1 extra level of damage dealing power.

As for patch: I was expecting recycled Easter event. Maybe we will be getting Leafre, because I do believe someone said Leafre has an egg theme. This would also lend credence to the idea of getting out 4th job for May. Worst case scenario: we get absolutely nothing, but if this is the case, we will get something soon.

EDIT: Can someone post the ftp with the update info please? I'd like to check on this at work, and the ftp link is on the living room computer and I can't get to it right now to post it. Also, there is no way in hell I'd manage to find it while at work tonight.

I know this is unimportant, but the patch says Tuesday the 21st. My mom's birthday is tomorrow, Tuesday the 20th.

So either we're getting it tomorrow(probably) or we're getting it Wednesday the 21st.

Also, if you guys really don't care about int at all and only HP, why not invest in a Maple Lama? Those things come with 100HP and decent enough magic attack.
