10 hours? Definitely 4th job!

Squeek: Priests are used for damage somewhat in later levels, if I'm not mistaken. They gather the bottom of Grims or do rotations with people. I mean, they're not gonna match the damage of the DK they're following around, but if you're a DK and you're just shy of needing 1 less hit to kill something, a strong priest is beneficial. Plus, the DK is only hitting 3 Grims while the priest will be hitting 4 of them, and not always the same as the 3 the DK is hitting. Especially if your DK doesn't have uber speed equips (where it'd be dumb for you to be faster, cuz you have to stick with him) you're better off having int instead of speed or hp. Hell, even if the DK had Haste speed in equips, teleport is WAY MORE than enough to always catch up, so it's useless.

That said: You're right, you haven't played the game in a while and a lot has changed. So why are you arguing with people who have played the game the way it is nowadays in areas you never fought in? You may know more about this game than a lot of people, but we've gone beyond what you ever did, and you can't really speak on what you've never done.

Afro, I have actually died due to Invincible running out on me. Only once, but it was during one of the most important times of my Mapling: my first and only viking party during 2x EXP. If I had kept my HP stuff on (I used Speed stuff), I would've lived.

Whatever. If Priests solo now, good for them. Seems like the entire concept of a Priest I worked so hard to create has died in my absence.

Anyway, I doubt this patch is 4th jobs... it's possible, but it's more likely to be the new maps only.

I don't think it's even possible for it to be 4th job. Remember how big of a deal they made out of 3rd job?

Besides, I think someone said new maps need to be released first. Odds are we'll have some map finished off or we'll get half of a new map, some crap like that. I really don't like the new maps at all, to be perfectly honest. They look good, but none of them(except Ludibrium and only SOME of its extentions) seem to be terribly useful at all. In fact, I find Omega Sector hindering me much more than it helps me, so I never really go there at all. Same for Aqua Road.

Okay well a ten hour patch... this is what I see from this:

1% chance of getting Leafre (Riprey) and/or fouth job... actually, make that about .1%
10% chance of getting Jipang
40% chance of getting Korean Folk Town and some cash shop stuff.
49.9% chance of getting a ton of data and hardly any releases, save a few subpar maps and cash shop items.

Now then, update aside, regarding the ongoing int vs hp discussion:

Right now at level 103 with level 27 shining ray and +59 int, I do around 5300 damage max to grims. With my pig headband, I do around 5100 max. With no int at all... I don't reach even near those figures. Now, considering DKs can take what... 6... 7... 8? hits from grims... you don't have to HEAL HEAL HEAL HEAL like you do in some situations. I do heal SR heal heal SR repeat... This allows me to do horrible heal damage (remember healing the DK counts as a target and lowers the damage to the monsters), along with a nice 3.8-5.1k hit to an entire mob, followed by another heal. This means that I'm doing around 10,000 damage total as opposed to healing constant in which I would probably be doing around 5-6k. This adds... let's just say 4.5k damage per cycle. I usually get through about 2-3 cycles per mob. This is an extra ~13.5k damage, which is about 1 hit from a DK around my level. This means that me being there with INT equips on subtracts a hit from killing a mob, which speed things up a LOT more than it seems. Now obviously, this doesn't work in all cases, depending on the DKs strength, speed, etc. I hope that made sense, and obviously with so many approximation there is room for error, but it definately seems that doing the extra damage helps speed things up, and also allows me to sneak in a kill from time to time whenever I am either mobbing up the bottom and SRing along the way or if the DK goes afk for a sec or stops to type something and I begin a mob before he does. The extra boost of exp isn't too bad either, which I probably couldn't achieve with HP gear.

Odds are good you won't be seeing all of that content for a while, but at least you'll know what's coming soon.

We don't solo now.

Well, some of us do some of the time, but we still get our best exp in a party. It's just a bit of a change in the way we go at partying at higher levels. The old way of the priest still exists, especially for lower levels, the levels in which more HP gear allows a priest to go to an area sooner than usual.

Really though, it hasn't changed much, aside from the very high priests who actually handle Grims just like any other class would in a party. It's just that us mid-high level priests don't just run around healing and buffing; we help in dealing damaging a bit too.

How is this known?

Regarding MSEA: You guys think they'll split our data like they did for MSEA? Was that was caused all of MSEA's problems recently? I thought it was hilarious when people said that Asiasoft did it to MSEA to prevent hacking.

- A new server world is now available : Mardia
- Unfold the mystery that surrounds Minerva the Goddess. Head over to Orbis of Ossyria and take on the Tower of Goddess now available.
- Following the patch, every new character created will be provided with the Beginner's Guide. Check on the guide as you raise your character from the ground up.
- Pet Info, which contains the full command list of a particular pet, will be sold through pet food store clerks. Check out the item and test out the commands to your pet today!

Also a new "realm". What the **** are the GMs thinking? I guess some hackers will drop off their "main" hack accounts in order to get in the top 10 easy in the new world, but do they really think this could help? All it'll do is spread their police force even thinner and leave the average [legit] player even more angry.

Other noteworthy elements: Zakum raid system meaning no more crashing nubs (like I even know what that's like), HUEG guild limit now, and recycled Easter event.

I'd rather have had Leafre that I wouldn't have been able to enjoy because of being too weak, or even KFT where the monsters are too sucky for ANYONE to even level on. Orbis PQ... well, we got something before MSEA did, right? That's something, isn't it? Isn't this how it used to always be?
