Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
After doing some planning, this is what Sprint 3 looks like:
Sprint 3
9/16/15 - 9/30/15
Dates in parentheses indicate the expected date to finish by. Completion could be earlier or slightly later.
9/22/15 Song Release
* This is basically predetermined with the 2 remaining songs; with the completion of Set 3 we have more files coming in. Silvuh informed me there are 15 accepted files out of 22, most with CQ status and 4 currently accepted.
- Prepare song release (song info, thread, FPP) - Dossar (9/21/15)
- Determine difficulties for the release - One Winged Angel (9/21/15)
Batch Search Engine
* Additions to this are currently low priority
- Define Acceptance Criteria - hi19hi19 (TBD)
- Put in years for Latest Update Field - Unassigned (TBD)
- Get notes and length for Special Batch Files - Unassigned (TBD)
- Add notes and length fields to JSONs - Dossar (TBD)
Judge Hard Song Batch
* This relies on the finalization of the judgment system. Current judges listed are tentative, and judgment should start next week
- Judgment - Phase 1 Pt 1 (Lead) - One Winged Angel (TBD)
- Judgment - Phase 1 Pt 1 (Reviewer) - Dossar (TBD)
Passed Files
* Set 2 Passed files might be assigned to Silvuh
- Judge Passed Files - Set 2 - Unassigned (TBD)
- Judge Passed Files - Set 3 - Dossar (9/19/15)
Rework Judgment System
* A rough draft of this is done and needs to be polished up. Both Silvuh and Dossar have been working on this and it will be available within the next few days
- Finalize new judgment system method - Silvuh (9/21/15)
Set 1
- Set 1 Full Notes (3rd notes) - TC_Halogen (TBD)
Set 2
- Set 2 First Half Notes (1st notes) - lurker (TBD)
- Set 2 Second Half Notes (1st notes) - psychoangel691 (TBD)
Set 3
* All Set 3 Notes are done putting aside one passed file
- Put together post for Set 3 Notes - Dossar (9/19/15)
- Determine accepted and conditionally queued files - Silvuh (9/19/15)
Web Development Opportunities
* Not related to the batch, although it might spark up some more ideas for the Batch Search Engine. Thread should be created ASAP, the scenarios given will be determined a few days after
- Create Thread Post for User Applications - Dossar (9/21/15)
- End applications - Dossar (9/25/15)
- Put together web development tasks - Dossar (9/25/15)Last edited by DossarLX ODI; 09-27-2015, 06:02 AM.Originally posted by hi19hi19oh boy, it's STIFF, I'll stretch before I sit down at the computer so not I'm not as STIFF next time I step a fileComment

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
By the way, any questions/comments/concerns for my notes feel free to PM me. This is the first batch I've ever judged so my notes might not be as good as Silvuh's or Dossar's notes.
Honestly surprised to see Insignia get three 8's, considering the song choice I was expecting something more like 7/7/7.Last edited by gameboy42690; 09-19-2015, 07:55 PM.Comment

You have four files in Set 1 for September/October 2014. The notes posted were just for Set 3.Originally posted by hi19hi19oh boy, it's STIFF, I'll stretch before I sit down at the computer so not I'm not as STIFF next time I step a fileComment

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
The scope of the conditional queue has expanded to any file that is only lightly accepted, the 1 SAP, 6.7–7.5 range. Lightly accepted files do usually receive quite a few suggestions. We think this will help create more of a conversation between steppers and judges, illuminate both sides of an issue, and hopefully broaden each other's perspectives.
However, we haven't reached a consensus on how CQ files should be handled. But do go ahead and send in fixes, because if they're acceptable, we can queue them right away.
There are a few things about the new judgment system that can be said now:
Files will be judged in small groups in chronological order (with files by the same stepper spread out), and notes will be released five files at a time. Because of this, resubmissions can be appended to the end of whichever batch is being currently judged (after this Sept-Oct batch).
Also, judgment for the next batch will start as soon as any judge has no more files in the current batch to look at, so until we get through the backlog, there will always be work open for judges to do.
So if you were among the first to submit to the 2014 Nov-Dec batch, it will be good to get any fixes in soon.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
A New Judgment System Document has been put up and can be seen through the thread. Some parts of it will be revised as necessary if any other situations arise.
The New Judgment System will be used starting with the Hard Songs Batch. The September/October 2014 Batch will be the end of the old batch system.Originally posted by hi19hi19oh boy, it's STIFF, I'll stretch before I sit down at the computer so not I'm not as STIFF next time I step a fileComment

The new judge system looks good to me. I just have one quick question. How many lead judges are reviewing each file?Comment
