But then again, what makes 18 so different than 21, anyways? (Other than 3 years.) 18 is the point where one is considered an adult. So if said "adult" chooses to misuse the responsibility, then his/her consequences will fall upon his/her shoulders, because he/she is now an adult.
The same thing with gambling. If an 18 year-old wants to go in a casino and dump his/her money down a slot machine, again, the responsibility will fall upon his/her shoulders. In my opinion, it should teach the new adults responsibility and what they shouldn't do, or the limit for doing it if they decide to.
