There is no way that alcohol would become illegal. And I really don't think that they should make it illegal just because of some dumb ass kids drinking and driving and getting some innocent people killed. Talk some sense into those retards.

It's 19 here, and I feel it should be raise to 21.
No one knows how teenagers will react. Will they really consume less if it's even more available, or will it backfire and accidents increase?
I still say it should be illegal for those under 21.

Hello sir, I am a representative from eBay.
Um, ok. May I help you?
Yes, I am going to need some more information. What is your social security, work hours, sperm count, sexual orientation, and hours of absence from your home?
If there was a draft here, I'd be old enough to go to war.
However I would not be old enough to smoke nor drink.
So.

I saw this on CNN. In my opinion, the drinking age should be lowered. Personally, I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs. However, I feel like legalizing all of them, including drinking at 18, will cut back on organized crime.

So what? to me that argues for lowering the other ages, not raising them still further. I'm sorry you feel that you are personally too immature to handle these things, but there are plenty of people of -every- age that are not responsible enough to handle all kinds of things like say, having a job, or raising children, or crossing a road on their own.
One anecdotal person who feels they personally wouldn't be prepared to make mature choices about something doesn't argue at all for making it not allowed for someone of their age to make such a choice.

I find the military concept funny. In a short time I'll be going to basic training. I find it funny that I can go to basic and be trained to kill, but can't be sent over to do it.

So we're mature enough to be trained to kill strangers in foreign countries, but we can't have a beer for 3 more years? Classy.
it's true that's messed up but two wrongs don't make a right. There are already enough young drivers on the road getting into deadly accidents without alcohol being legalized for 18-21 year olds as it is. And there are still plenty of them drinking and driving as it is. Just imagine it when they can get their hands on alcohol legally. It was actually legalized for 18 year olds in the past for the reason you just mentioned, but it was almost immediately moved back up because the amount of deadly car crashes skyrocketed.
maybe they could make it legal for all soldiers in service but keep the drinking age at 21 otherwise...
I've lived in multiple border cities, including the 19/18 border between Ottawa and Hull, and the 19/21 borders between Windsor and Detroit, and Saulte Ste Marie ON, and MI, and given the sheer number of 19 and 20 year olds who drive over the border to get drunk, many of whom attempt to drive home (drunk) who could have stayed home or within walking/cabbing distance of their house is enough to make me think that you may be mistaken about the suggestion that the higher limit makes less people drive drunk.
