87x, it should be obvious now from melstrange's post that he did indeed try to help himself. He tried to fix his problem and he couldn't. I know alot of goths claim to be depressed but they only do that to fit in with their dumbass friends. Most depressed people don't come out and say they are depressed (I'm backing up who ever said that earlier.) Just respect the memory of Monoc, we shouldn't be bashing his motives.

Melstrange (I assume your name is Mel), I can't begin to imagine how hard this is for you.
But just stay strong. You loved your brother very much, clearly, and at least he's been good to you during his liftime.Originally posted by Henri PoincaréThe scientist does not study nature because it is useful to do so. Sounds odd but I believe it. Very uplifting story as misleading as it can get.Originally posted by 87xthat only if you believe in destiny..im destined for a (#$% life and thats the way it's going to be right now.
true story:
Guy sells drugs his entire high school career, never gets any grade above a C in any class.. comes home one day and his house is being raded by cops.. he drives straight to the recruiting office and signs up for the military.. joins the navy, because a navigational expert.. retires after 20 yrs of service, now he teaches and designs new weapon software, and made over 100k by himself in 2001...
I know this story because it was my dad.. you make your life.. not your past..Guess who's back!

I am the one who gave the PM to synthlight. I was a good friend of Paul and miss him terribly now that he's gone. His parents do have access to this website through this account so I'd like to get some stuff cleared up (hopefully) before they find this thread. In response to this thread, Paul had many friends who cared about him and are deeply saddened by his loss. He played many video games and could kick my ass at everything but Soldier of Fortune II, as a visit to our website will show you. A girlfriend: that's another, more personal matter that I will not discuss on this website. In short, while I am extremely skeptical of what I myself read on the internet, I give you my word (for what it's worth) that this is not a hoax of any sort. If you need more convincing, PM me and we'll talk. Thank you for your time.Comment

Thank you jraynor.... I appriciate all the support you have given already. I am also available to whom ever wants to talk to someone that knew Monoc (Paul). Also if you're curious, here's the link to his obituary: http://www.legacy.com/StarTribune/Le...rsonId=2162721 Thank you all for supporting his memory so fondly.

1. Tend to be does not equal always you fucking twat.Originally posted by KilgamayanNo, it's exactly what you're saying. Depression is a clinically diagnosed disease, and you're claiming his death is nothing to be sad about as if it was his fault he had depression. That's the same thing as saying someone who has cancer has no one to blame but themselves if they die.Originally posted by FeuergeistNo, I'm not saying that. Maybe you are crazy, since you seem to be hallucinating.
Do you know it wasn't?Originally posted by FeuergeistDo you know if was severe?
thats not the point
"Tend to be" != "always". Are you saying that if you run across 99 blacks (I hate that term -_-) that mugged you at knifepoint, if the next black you came across was Martin Luther King you'd assume he was going to mug you and attack him first? It's essentially the same thing.Originally posted by FeuergeistI'm not here to argue the validity of depression but suicides usually involving it tend to be the same sitiuation, over and over.
No, but you have attacked his decision to take his own life, claiming it to be the "coward's way out" when you have never been in that situation yourself (every situation is unique, so I don't care if you yourself had depression or not, because it's not the same). No matter the circumstances, a death is a death, and treating it so coldly and heartlessly will *always* get your ass reamed. Look what happened to VxDx.Originally posted by FeuergeistRegardless of any of what I just said, I still stand by my statement. I have no clue why you guys have to try and 'ream my ass' about it. I haven't attacked your decision to feel sorry for the guy.
The last point applies to anyone else here who claims that "there's always a way out". You don't know that for sure unless you've been in every position possible, and I somehow doubt that. You can make claims all you want, but you cannot say there's *always* a way out. You don't know jack about what happened, boy-o.
And who knows? Maybe he's better off now in the afterlife, hangin' with Jesus up in Heaven or something. How would that be cowardly?
2. I never attacked his decision, I simply said I feel no remorse for him. It was you people who decided it was a attack.
3. You don't know a damn thing about it either. I can say what I please.
4. So I would get my ass reemed if I said a mass murderer deserved to die.
Based on your post, I can only assume that you are hallucinating in some way, because you tend to see quite a number of things that aren't in existance. It appears it is impossible to have a non-popular socialitical view without being "reemed in the ass."
Oh and I never claimed it to be a "cowardly" way out. I never claimed it to be a way out at all. Tool.

whoa whoa, I seemed to have missed this since I didn't care about this thread and some anonymous sympathy that has no meaning whatsoever but that everybody seems to want to show. I don't see where I got "ass reamed". So somebody died that you and I don't know. Ok, people die all the time. Further than that, people kill themselves from depression all the time. Why don't you feel the need to mourn their deaths? Because you didn't know them? Well you didn't know this person either, so in my opinion, it's the same thing.Originally posted by FeuergeistOriginally posted by KilgamayanNo matter the circumstances, a death is a death, and treating it so coldly and heartlessly will *always* get your ass reamed. Are you saying that because people don't like what I said, I was "ass reamed"? I fail to see how I got any negative consequences out of what I said that would qualify as "ass reaming"...
note, by the way, this is by no means in disrespect to those deceased or the family of those deceased.Comment

And guess what "!=" means?Originally posted by Feuergeist1. Tend to be does not equal always you fucking twat.
Moron.
I'm too lazy to look back so I'll grant you this. I know someone called it cowardly though.Originally posted by Feuergeist2. I never attacked his decision, I simply said I feel no remorse for him. It was you people who decided it was a attack.
EDIT: You said that anyone who makes that decision "deserves to die". I'd call that an attack on his decision.
So can I. The difference is that I don't look ignorant. Just trying to help, but if you're going to resist I won't stop you.Originally posted by Feuergeist3. You don't know a damn thing about it either. I can say what I please.
I'm sure someone would, yes.Originally posted by Feuergeist4. So I would get my ass reemed if I said a mass murderer deserved to die.

How am I a tool? Trying coming up with something that makes sense instead of using hackneyed one-word internet insults.Originally posted by FeuergeistOh and I never claimed it to be a "cowardly" way out. I never claimed it to be a way out at all. Tool.
You said what you said and a good number of people reacted very strongly to it.Originally posted by VxDxwhoa whoa, I seemed to have missed this since I didn't care about this thread and some anonymous sympathy that has no meaning whatsoever but that everybody seems to want to show. Originally posted by jraynorLouis Paul Nagode. Paul to his friends and family, Monoc while gaming or on the internet.Originally posted by melstrangeMonoc is my brother. Monoc actually signed me up on this site a few weeks ago when he came and visited me. He's my younger brother by three years (he just turned 18 on April 15th). My parents were the first to find him. My parents and I watched the cremation a few days ago and the funeral was held last Sat. He had been struggling with depression for many years and tried to get help constantly. He went through so many medication combinations it's not even funny, and has been seeing therapists, etc. the entire time. He tried so hard to get up every day and go to school and just to function. There were a few things he took pleasure in but he was truly miserable most of the time. Everyone in our family, including my parents and myself, tried to support him as well as encourage him to get out of his funk. But no matter how hard he tried, he wasn't getting any better. I know most of you really didn't know him, but he would always try to make me feel better no matter what and would challange me to better myself. While it sound's sort of backwards, he really did try to get better. He had a quirky sence of humor that all around him loved dearly, and he was also increadibly smart. There were so many people that showed up at his funeral that there was standing room only, took up two rooms, and even standing room was limited. Everyone close to him is going to miss him dearly. I know that this was also a part of his life too.I think the Memorial section would be good for FFR.Originally posted by jraynorI am the one who gave the PM to synthlight. I life is a life, and so something was still lost. That is why I feel Paul should be in the memorial section. I took time to edit the posts to make a a final message to put in that section.Comment
