A kid at my school killed himself the other week. He was really quiet, and I didn't know him that well. A friend of a friend, only known by association.
And then you get news over the PA that he fucked himself over like that. And you look around, and no one is making a noise. There's the one girl in the corner that thinks he faked it, because that is the way the world works and she knows no better, but the rest of the class does. (Jam, as much as it sounds like, that wasn't a stab at you. A girl in my class thought he was faking it. It was just how she delt with it)
And no one else speaks for the rest of the period.
When shit like this happens, it makes me angry. NOTHING can ever be that bad. I've talked people down before, and then when that happens you think that YOU did nothing.
The messages and signs were there. We just chose to ignore them.
