Noah, I like the idea of "learning" skills from quests rather than arbitrarily getting them from leveling up. It's more realistic.
As for 4th job's release being pushed back because of this: They could easily leave out those quests and have 4th job be like the other jobs. It's not like we even have all the quests we should anyway. And besides, did you really expect 4th job to be out any time soon anyway?

mmmmmm quick question, I'm starting a mage and i was just wondering the advantages/disadvantages to pure int...
Advantages of lukless:
Deals more damage.
Doesn't need to worry about a ton of money to upgrade gear.
Disadvatages of lukless:
Takes more damage from having less defense due to having lower levle armor.
A good lukless weapon is sort of hard to come by and people overcharge for them.
Armor is always the same and cash shop gear is needed to change it.
Loses more exp when they die due to not having any luk (usually around 10%).
Advantages of luk:
New gear every so often, so your character will actually change appearance over time.
More defense from higher level armor so less damage is taken.
Weapons are relatively easy to come by and only the higher level ones are extremely expensive.
Loses less exp when they die due to having more luk (around 5% usually).
Disadvatages of luk:
Not as strong.
More costly over time because of replacing gear every few levels.
In the end, it's a toss-up between dealing more damage to the monsters versus looking normal with normal mage gear.
Not sure if I forgot anything. Anyone else, feel free to add more.
That was helpful thank you, I'm thinking of starting out just intelligence then start adding only luk once i get to about the job advancement when i can be a wiz. Does that idea make sense, Or would it be a better idea to just choose one.

That wouldn't really help you too much... Lukless mages aren't that much stronger until Maple Lama at level 43. If you want to do lukless, do it completely. If you want to be luk, do it completely.
Carpet, just be pure-int (or at least low-luck) to start with. Lower startup cost (you'll just buy a wooden wand and that's it) than luck mages and you'll do a bit more damage without any effort (aside from waiting for a good roll :P). Also, if you don't add luck and decide you hate being luckless, you can always just add luck. If you add luck and then decide you want to be stronger, the only way to remove luck is with (possibly very expensive) cash items. If you're not sure, just start off as luckless and decide later. =P
Afro, what I mean about the release being pushed back is simply that this means there are more things for them to do. New quests to write out and implement (and thus more translations, which is the biggest delay factor other than "slow down Wizet, if you release too much at once we might lose interest!!"), more areas to add for the quests (the hawk quest had a special area where the hawk egg was planted and then hatched, triggering the battle with the hawk), and just, well, more stuff. Also, there hasn't been any talk about a job advancement test. I'd be extremely surprised if this questing stuff just replaced that whole ordeal, and I fully expect a ridiculous hard test with you fighting some monster and getting some certificate showing that you're capable to do 4th job.
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
There's alot of ways to be creative with paladin skills. Like 1 way to do things is to use endless blow a couple times to stun a mob and rush till it's dead, or endless blow and sanctuary (was the cooldown for that removed? It says on SW.net it was O__O). Or just monster magnet some monsters to you and rush/endless blow. Holy charge + spirit + holy weak = major damage.
Anyways, defeated Zakum twice last night.
First run leveling a friend to 140. He's a WK. Note the white exp meaning I got the last hit on the arm.
Defeat with El Zakum (2nd gen). You can see the hacker with the bone helm on. He went straight for the DS then pretended he stole a helm. Though, he just had it hidden in his inventory. He didn't get the DS. I FJ'd right to it but a warrior friend got it first.
GM visit...
Defeat with Trinity (1st gen). lilosuiki looted the metus and then a helm. It was her first time going... She lied about the helm but gave back the metus. I had frapped it and so did another. We always frap the end. Yep, clear as day that she looted. Here's the video itself.
*The one from last week netted me 46.5m in the end.
*The first one won't really net me anything... It's a 95 atk ds. So maybe 1m after it's all split.
*The second one netted me 4.76m from the sponsored (100m) helm buyer. There is also a 93 atk metus and a 45 atk caster. So probably another 17m.
Post costs for each run is around 1m. So all and all Zakum has made me 66-67m in the past 3 runs.
