So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.
Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O -
Re: MapleStory
It's not a big deal really, It's just depressing to log on one day, get to 44% then log on the next day and be right back where you started the day before =/ It wasn't your fault, just lag. Besides, once I can party with my priest again at MDT it won't take long to regain.
Speaking of MDTs, I met a priest at DTs a few days ago, and he was willing to party me at MDTs o.O This really surprised me since I hear of WKs having trouble finding priests mostly in the mid 8x - 9x plus, but I manage to find one in 7x who is WILLING TO PARTY ME AT MDT, a monster with no elemental weakness o.O The exp is surprisingly VERY good, and to top it off I, of course, don't lose any money. Bottom of the map is RIDICULOUS. We have a route we do from bottom to top, once we get to the top he jumps down to the bottom, mobs, and I meet him on the other side. It's ****ing awesome. Mob of like 15+ MDTs exp from that one mob on the bottom can net me as much as .8% +. I love it. I tried to catch a screeny of the bottom for the exp, probably could of got a better screeny but whatever. 5k exp + in under 10 seconds, not to mention the amount of exp gained from the rest of the mob:

Re: MapleStory
Yeah, that's basically exactly what I did with Afro. And I know how it feels to log on to find a messed-with character after you had just gotten to a thing. I still don't know who died and spent a bunch of money on my character that one time. =\So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

Re: MapleStory
The fire mage leveling slump pretty much ends at level 75. Of course, I trained without brace, before Ludi came out, so fighting Ludi stuff with brace may help you level SUPA FAST but I dunno. XDSo I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

I like how the priest outdamaged you o_______o Well I've been playing on burnt and I hope to be a fire mage by tonight... I have a lot of hw and water polo was being a bitch today so I dunno. It's not a big deal really, It's just depressing to log on one day, get to 44% then log on the next day and be right back where you started the day before =/ It wasn't your fault, just lag. EDIT: I was thinking about my ranger's build and I'm really actually not quite sure on what to do again.. This is what you wrote earlier Jason:
Thing is... I find Mortal Blow quite useless because as an archer, I shouldn't even be whacking my bow at all except in rare occasions like a monster spawning on top of me. Pumping in 15 extra points into a skill that I will rarely activate seems like a waste to me. I really would rather have more puppet because hp seems to be more important to me now then the actual timer. I also want to add some points into thrust because I hate being slow, especially with my arund which doesn't have the +10 speed my hinkel had. I just don't know what to do now =/I'd say stop puppet at 3 instead of 6. And instead of stopping rain, keep maxing it. You won't need much puppet really. You'll either do spot 1 or 3. Either case, you'll want rain to be maxed.
Also change that build from 15 puppet to 12 and 26 hawk to 29. You'll want 29 and not less for hawk (99%).
So... Looks like this.
70 : 1 Strafe (1)
71 : 3 Strafe (4)
72 : 3 Strafe (7)
73 : 3 Strafe (10)
74 : 3 Strafe (13)
75 : 2 Strafe (15), 1 Puppet (1)
76 : 3 Strafe (18)
77 : 1 Strafe (19), 2 Puppet (3)
78 : 1 Strafe (20), 2 Mortal Blow (2)
79 : 3 Mortal Blow (5)
80 : 3 Arrow Rain (3)
...
89 : 3 Arrow Rain (Max)
90 : 3 Strafe (23)
91 : 3 Strafe (26)
92 : 3 Strafe (29)
93 : 1 Strafe (Max), 2 Mortal Blow (7)
94 : 3 Mortal Blow (10)
95 : 3 Puppet (6)
96 : 3 Mortal Blow (13)
97 : 3 Mortal Blow (16)
98 : 3 Mortal Blow (19)
99 : 1 Mortal Blow (Max), 2 Hawk (2)
100 : 3 Hawk (5)
...
108 : 3 Hawk (Max)
109 : 3 Inferno (3)
...
118 : 3 Inferno (Max)
119 : 3 Puppet (9)
120 : 3 Puppet (12)
There you have it. I suggest hawk before inferno cause you won't go grims for a long time anyways. Plus hawk is quite useful at 99% stun, especially at things like bottom of vikings, GKs, Thanatos.Last edited by ckj846; 09-19-2006, 10:56 PM.pyro31191: TELL EVERYONE YOU WANT TO TAKE IT IN THE ASS NOW

Re: MapleStory
Basically, you pay 1$ of real money and you get a ticket in game. You turn the ticket into a machine in game. The machine gives you an item. There are many rare and awesome items that can only be obtained through this method.
It is really gay.

Re: MapleStory
That's a really smart way to make money, though, because you know at least one person is going to spend literally hundreds of dollars to get an item. You know how people spent up to $100 or more to get a stupid hair coupon/color? Imagine what they'd do for an item that actually does something.
So, yeah, I hope the odds are low enough to make idiots go for a 1/1500 chance or something retarded like that. Realistically, I'd bet the lowest would be like 1/100, though, since you're paying real money, after all.
But holy ****, do you know just how many mesos these will be worth if they can be traded? Ebay=approx $1 per 1 million mesos. Assume you get an item with a 1 out of 100 chance in the gacahpon. This means people may be willing to pay 100 million mesos for this item.
So yeah, things ain't gonna be cheap.Comment
