Knowing tendencies of Wizet/Nexon, they are going to nerf archers like mad. I was pretty sure they lowered the damage on Hurricane and they changed up the % for that Dragon Pulse thing but I'm not really sure, I don't pay attention very much anymore. Maple sorta lost my interest too. And plus, my kitty died and I don't want to spend more on nx because I'm not even sure I'll play that much anymore. So yeah... heh.

Cam, even if nerfed, you'd still have the best 4th job skills out there. I don't see why they would "nerf" it. Seems it's all balanced, save for having more amazing skills than other classes. If you were a mage, I'd understand. But you're a goddamn ranger... The only problem is that it'll take a while for you to get all the skills you want.

And Cam, it just really bothers me that you say they ARE getting nerfed like mad as if it's a sure thing when really they just keep getting better and better. Don't talk out of your ass, especially when what you're saying the complete opposite of what's happening. =\

Cam may be just going through a stage of denial right now. Mainly because he has had a many troubles making it through as a bowman. Cam; get some therapy.

PS: I shall be returning to MS on December 6th. From there, I will split time between MS, and FlyFF. (Don't flame me; FlyFF is a fun game.)

I didn't say you can't, I just said that I didn't think I would ever do it and I thought it was a bad idea to risk it.

Turns out it's pretty damn easy to do and not that big of a risk at all for those of us who don't get mad lag like Oni :P

And noah, about those summons: they can't be too strong; they're supposed to be secondary damage dealers. Think of it this way: "same as 2nd job cold beam." It'll be stronger than that even, because you'll be hitting 6 things at once. It's not really that weak, especially since you'll be attacking normally on top of using the summon.

I do agree with the Volcano/Ice Field/Judgement and Infinite Mana, though. It's a terrible idea. I think what they should do is throw those skills out, use their animations for what would be Quantum Explosion, and add the proper element of course.

I also wish they would simply make flame and freeze's only purpose to be dealing a little damage and changing elemental weakness, rather than having it to be used to make the summons stronger. I HATE the idea of summons being opposite element. That is so ****ing stupid. Another idea: flame/freeze could be DoT and add the other element to it's weaknesses (both being burned and frozen make sense for damage over time). This would encourage partying between the two mages (even on elementally neutrals) and it would be a good way to rack up damage (with damage over time). The only problem I could foresee with it being DoT is it being over powered like Poison Mist. I guess it'd have to be kind of weak DoT.

Saw/Reported a 9x hacker today.. Isn't that disgusting? The maple admins are doing what they can, but theres no way to stop ALL the hackers.

I hate to see hackers.. of any level. The game isn't so hard that one cannot get to a very high level legitimately. Its not impossible. You guys are proof of that.

Yeah, whenever I see a hacker, I imagine that he/she cannot do simply one thing. And that's grind... and grind... and grind some more. Yeah, grinding's hard. Getting mesos is hard. But that's what just is supposed to influence you to work hard, and do the best you can. Heh, I'm doing the best I can in FlyFF now. And heck, I'm about to get lvl 14 now (leveling in FlyFF is HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD. Even more than MS. Ugh *chilly feeling*).

Fire Arrow, Explosion and the summons are all 120 base damage. Explosion being the same damage as Fire Arrow makes sense because Explosion hits 6 things and has extreme awesome range. The summons have worse range than either and is slower by far. The only advantage is that it'll always do 1.5x damage because of Flame/Freeze. The summons for mages are pathetically weak. Also, compare this damage to the other 4th jobs, and they still suck pretty hard. Really, the only way I can see mages being useful for bosses is if Flame/Freeze's element-changing ability affects bosses, which is kinda doubtful. =\

There is apparently a new skill, Spark, for IL mages that hasn't been translated yet. Maybe this will be the good stand-alone main attack that we're lacking. Friggin Koreans need to hurry the hell up and translate, and Rick needs to update the damn Sauna with info from the client. >=O

Oh and guys, so you know, 4th job skills start off as only being 10 points max. You have to find skill books to increase the possible number of points you can put in them. There will be all sorts of 4th job quests you have to do for your skills, which oughta make things interesting/annoying. There's one video out of a crossbowdude doing a quest where you have to fight the ice eagle before you can use it. This may delay the release of 4th job considerably. =\
