@EB I saw that like a night or two ago. I haven't tested it, but it's worth a shot. When I finally decide to sign back on, I'll probably tell you if it works. I'd consider it important to test because I'm pure int, which could make the formula wrong, assuming it's based on normal mages. It'll be interesting to see what happens this time around.

EDIT: Better idea - I'll look at one of my old posts with the stats. I know how much I did at level 50 and 51, so the pictures will help.

I hate to bug you about this, but how would I decrease the amount of lag i'm getting? I already have DirectX 9.0 and have set the picture quality to Normal. Any other ways to reduce lag?

It says my max damage on fire weak monsters is 2,314 at level 52.

Now I know very well I can hit over 3,100 on GRUPINS.

It says my minimal damage is 1,388. What the ****.

EDIT: wtf my 45 fizard can do more than 2300 I'm sure. That formula sucks.

Yeah, at level 40, I hit over 2,000. The guide is absolute BS for luckless mages. I figured that'd happen, otherwise I wouldn't've bothered to post.

I brought up a long time ago that that was wrong. I posted about it here and on SW, but nobody knew what the actual formula was. Apparently people mapped their damage change over time with just changes in matk and came up with that formula. They claim luck has no effect on damage, but seeing as how you'd have to add luck to really test that, I see no conclusive evidence that luck does nothing at all.

And there must be something you guys are doing wrong. Mine is pretty dead on (if anything, too high). Use your magic, not your int, for magic. Use 120 for spell attack for fire arrow. Use 1.5 for elemental bonus and 1 for amp (or just don't use it rofl). Make sure you're squaring the first magic/167.25 thing. Make sure your mastery is in there as .6 and not 60. You guys must be doing something wrong, cuz the formula is accurate, especially for luckless (since the whole point of it was to prove that matk was the main/only factor in damage).

I still think somebody should make a couple mages that have the same matk but different luck and compared damage. It'd prolly be annoying to do, but it would determine whether or not luck did anything.

i grinded for about 4 hours and got 80% and my first level at zombies.
i gotta say, i like it a lot. and getting a channel isnt as bad as a lot of people made it out to be. meet a few cool people and a few assholes. and uh made 1.4 mil in that 5 hours, and barely used any mp pots.

so i <3 coolies as of now.
ill be fine with 19 more levels here.

It is fun the first 5 levels or so. Then it gets damn repititive and just outright boring. Zombies are not the best exp there is because there are a lot of good places with better maps that are more fun (like lusters and jetis). I also think soul teddies are better then zombies, but that will probably be 6x when you can 2-3 hit them. Well I was fooling around with some friends at DTs and got to 16%. Yay?

Well i got my goal of 25 tonight. Got a scroll for overall armor def 10%, anyone know what thats worth? Im hoping for 30 by tuesday at the lastest.

That'd give me 2,981(and 2/3) magic damage as a maximum. If that's without the 1.5 boost, then that's too much. If that's with the 1.5 boost, then that's too little. Putting a 1.5 boost on that would make it nearly 4,500, which just isn't happening. Without the 1.5 boost, that'd be low by a few hundred.
