Well....the Japanese questions/answers are posted somewhere. I remember seeing them translated on SW (in one of those OMG WHAT WILL THIRD JOB BE LIKE?! threads) and there was a link to the original Japanese. So really, if you have the patience to get to 3rd job (and in JMS you could do it in like a month or less pretty easily), you oughta have the patience to look up the questions and answers.

K but seriously, if you have a character that can train on Jr. Kitties or better (or if you're higher, flyeyes in the cave before pianus) do that and get tons of EQ items and EQ the hell out of your warrior. It'll get the first 25 or so levels done SUPER FAST while still getting exp for your main dude (I hear the flyeyes are good exp, oddly enough o_O).
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

Selling it or getting a bone helm? I'm not sure which is worth more (the helm or the honey), but I think the honey is. If so, sell honey then buy helm. XD

Edit: Larry, I bet there are people that do it without knowing any better, same way there are probably newbies that NPC throwing stars instead of refilling them (I remember when Jake didn't know you could refill stars, rofl).

I actually have to quit my thief, due to the fact that I finally figured out that I screwed up on it. I had too much dex. I also screwed up on skills. Go figure.

PS: My warrior is gonna get all the funding. 300K + 100K + 30K somethings + 16k somethings = like 450K for my warrior. And I don't even need that much money for the fact that I'm using hammers.

                Re: MapleStory

Thieves have no mob attacks till 3rd job anyway, so the flyeye thing wouldn't work. What level is he, though? You might be able to get lots of horns, and trust me, it's easier to just EQ up to about 25.

But uh, how'd you get your skills messed up? Also, your dex can't be too high, really. Lower dex will make you stronger, but it's not a big deal to get more dex if you want higher level clothes. Plenty of people have higher-dex sins, I'm sure.

Speaking of dex, it'll be an issue with your warrior. You'll both love and hate it. =\

You'll pretty much spend less on DEX stuff, and if you DO get dex stuff, you can train where low-dex warriors of your level could only dream of.

                    Uhhhhh

You want the LOWEST BASE DEX POSSIBLE you can afford. Low dex warriors, with proper equips, will always be able to train where a normal dex does.

You say you'll love high dex? Tell me would it be very fun when you're level 100 with 110 base dex and a warrior with 60 base dex and equal level is greatly outdamaging you and still training on the same thing?

Trust me, you want to manage as low dex as possible. Only add dex when it is COMPLETELY necessary.

                      Re: MapleStory

Trust Keeto on this one. Especially if you have some funding, low dex is the way to go. Basically, if you're not missing things you're fighting a lot, then don't add to dex. Dex equips are pretty cheap (attack is preferred for gloves and 100% overall dex can be NPC bought), so buying scrolls and making your own dex gear (which you don't even REALLY need until level 30 for the job advancement) is a fairly easy matter. I've wasted money on dex gloves for various warriors (my own, Tank's, Keeto's, maybe some others, I forget) in my time playing and I still have plenty of money.

REALLY GOOD DEX STUFF (multiple 10%s on gloves/overalls) are still quite expensive, just because a passed 10% carries quite a bit of value all on its own.

Oh, also, advice: PQ until you get a blue and a green bamboo. The first warrior hat to give +3 str (what the blue bamboo gives) is like, level 90 or something. You may think 1-2 str might not make much of a difference or that you'll look stupid, but trust me, you'll save money on hats and still be stronger. Also, green bamboos are pretty cheap and you can throw 10%s (also very cheap) on them until one or more pass, since 10% helmet def gives 1 accuracy. 3dex and 1acc on a hat will do more than you'd think. XD

Also, what you have to realize is that level factors into how much you miss way more than your accuracy does. Try checking an accuracy calculator sometime and seeing how changes in accuracy/level affect your hitrate on higher level things. Even if you went high dex, you'd still miss things higher level than you like crazy.
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

                        Again, different playing styles.
Let's say a Low dex warrior gets the dex equips, and gets to train where the normal dex warrior does. What would happen if the regular dex warrior gets the same dex gear, and moves on to better places at a lower level?

When I'm lvl 100 (which won't be for a long time, btw) I'll only have 100 base dex. I don't care about the low dex / high damage crap, I prefer to have consistent hits over big damage - big fat miss.
Besides, some members at the basilmarket community have proved that going low-dex will be redudant, since they worked out that a low-dex with dex gear would be doing less than a regular dex with an attack WG.

Again, going low dex is recommended. The point is, You want to be able to get a certain amount of accuracy by a certain lvl. For example, by 60, you want at least 93(?) acc to hit zombies. Whether you achieve that by having 90 base dex or 40 base dex, it's your choice.

Low dex can usually afford to use an ATT glove. Since he only has 450k, I say you go med dex (60-80 base). 100 base dex is WAY unnecessary, even at lvl 100+. By then you should have enough money to afford a good dex robe. Even Corek, who had 120 base dex is now resetting it to 80, because it's redundant.

High DEX + ATK WG = good
but HIGH STR + ATK WG = MUCH better. You're multiplying more STR, thereby making your ATK glove much more worth it.

                            Re: MapleStory

Thing is, Proto, overalls can give tons of accuracy and dex for much cheaper than they can give tons of strength, and there are no overall scrolls for attack.

Also, I will say this again. You could put ALL your point in dex, and you still wouldn't be able to train on higher level monsters. For one, you'd STILL MISS THEM. Level factors into how often you hit a TON. Secondly, even if you did hit them much more often, you'd do way less damage. Not only would your low strength make your damage crappy already, but them being higher leveled means their defense will do more to lower your attacks (same way their avoidability counts for more and you'd miss more often than a higher level with the same accuracy).

Eventually, yes, people are going to have to add more dex. Once we get 4th job monsters with craploads of avoidability that would be impossible to hit without hundreds of accuracy, everyone is going to be mad and have to add dex. Until then, though, you might as well be stronger so that you can level faster.

Finally, there's the issue of leaving your options open. If you add points to dex, you can't remove them without lots of money. I think it's always better to wait and put points into dex MUCH later when you really NEED to.

PS: Here's that acc calculator I keep mentioning: http://glue.umd.edu/~mdevries/acc.html

PPS: The most accuracy you'd ever need at this point is 139 (to 100% thanatos at/above its level), unless you plan to fight CRog a lot, in which case you'd need 147 to hit 100% of the time. At level 90, though, you'd need 231 accuracy to 100% hit thanatos (that is, 92 more). Each level until 108 the accuracy needed falls by about 5. So really, leveling up is about equal to getting 6-7 dex closer to hitting thanatos. WHAT'S THAT? THAT'S MORE THAN YOU'D PUT IN EACH LEVEL? WOW, I GUESS LEVEL DOES MATTER A WHOLE ****ING LOT! WE SHOULD LISTEN TO EB WHEN HE SAYS STUFF!!
