Well, anyway, it seems that speculation about new characters is all of the talk, but I'm more interested in if Nintendo is going to screw up WiFi again. The truth is, Nintendo isn't that good with WiFi >__< I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that Nintendo will be smarter. A before-game ping check, disconnect-ratio check, and most importantly, points for winning from a game where some loser bails out (and vice-versa) are all Nintendo needs to make the game perfect.

Also, Nintendo needs a better disconnecting system. My mom disconnected the router before while I was playing MP:H over WiFi and it didn't affect my disconection ratio. I doubt it's hard to make a system that judges if YOU lost your Internet connection or if YOU'RE still connected.

Oh, and modes. How could I forget? Personally I'm looking forward to time matches because you can't stand outside of combat and expect to win. Seeing as this is the "main mode" in Melee (or at least the one selected when you start up the game), then I'd expect it to be for WiFi. But I'd also like stock, coin, bonus, stamina (stamina should really be a regular mode), and whatever creative modes Nintendo can think up.

New characters might be nice but the difference between a good and bad online service will make or break MY lasting appeal. Well, almost, at least. As long as organizing matches between friends isn't too hard, then I'll be fine.
    Agreed.

And regarding modes, lots of tourneys I went to took up the rules of a stock+time, usually 4 live over 8 mins. I think something along those lines would be a good idea for online rules.

Hm I listened to the music...
And I was dissapointed. The first two seconds are good, but then the Latin starts. Ugh, the singing ruins it! The chorus is flat and uninspired, and the high vocal parts are ear-shattering!

Way to go ruin a promising main theme

            Cloud sucks.

            FF7 sucks.

If SSB ever has a FF7 character in it, I will personally assassinate Miyamoto for allowing it to happen.

Latin Choirs make soundtracks amazing. What are you talking about.

Kingdom Hearts. Destati. The game would be NOTHING without music to accompany it. Orchestra is superb, but a chorus really lets you know it's intense and dramatic.

Almost any RPG I've played has had a chorus accompany several of the songs playing more toward the end of the game to indicate a climax in the action. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I agree wholeheartedly. It adds an extra dimension that wasn't there in the previous theme. There's more, I dunno... feeling there.

Yeah, an orchestra really gives it the epic, dramatic feeling. I'm more than satisfied with it being in the main theme.

I'm pretty sure that it was stated that the regular Gamecube controller would be used for the game as opposed to the Wii remote. So it would seem pretty silly to switch controllers solely for the ending credits.

Which is why the Wii mote will uasble for the credits when plugged into Port 2.

Where did you see that? I was pretty sure they'd be using the "skinned" Wii controller for SSBB....

Why is it that every forum I join, the first thread I see is something really weird?

This isn't a pure character addition. Rather, under certain conditions, Samus will "remove" her Power Suit. Whoa! That's a woman under there! Naturally, Zero Suit Samus loses power and stamina, so she should fight using the speed she gains instead. Also, her gun transforms and can be used as a whip. Of the two, one might consider the whip to be her main weapon.
