Whitey, you must be the only person in existance to like Crystal Chronicles.
The game had absolutely no story and no goal. It was one of the worst games ever. The only reason they made it was so you'd go get a GBA-GC cable because they weren't selling.
I'm giving Square one more shot with FF:CC. That's not to say I'm blowing my money on that game any time soon, but I'm definitely going to look into how much it changed. The game could of been pretty good. The concept fell into place, but it just got too old and it wasn't all that good.
In short: dungeons were too easy and short, gameplay lacked depth, and multiplayer was next to inaccessable. But it had potential.

Rare is now second-party to Microsoft.
Lol, second-party means "you". As in the fans are second-party. Rare is first-party, which means "us".
Dixie is in a game which was released much after Microsoft's aquisition. Perhaps this means that RARE gave permission for DK based characters to Nintendo?
PS she was also in Donkey Konga games on Gamecube lately, as well as a slew of other Nintendo games released after Microsoft bought RARE or whatever.
I don't know how the copywrights and such work, but it REALLY doesn't matter. Speculation leads us absolutely nowhere. There are over a hundred characters possible for inclusion into SSBB by the time it comes out in 7 months.
Just to prove a point though, DK was made by Shiggy. Says so on various places. Diddy, Dixie, Kiddy, etc were made by Rareware (for easily-visible proof on that one, check out Dixie's beret).
To prove another point, Miyamoto wasn't even involved in the production or direction of Metal Gear. Ever. He just asked his friend Hideo Kojima if he could use a character who appeared on an NES and GCN game if he could use the character, to which Kojima obliged.
Snake has appeared on Nintendo consoles the least of any possible additions to this game, so the ranges of selections to choose from are not limited in any sense whatsoever. It's not safe to disinclude anyone from the list of hundreds.
$30 dollars says that the credits of SSBB will be a shooter thing like the last two games, and that the Wii controller will usable for it (as opposed to, you know, the regular controller that wont look like a remote).

Your Joking, No way their gonna follow the same pattern as the other games O.o
Well, why wouldn't they? I rather enjoy having an interactive Credits thingy, it sure as hell beats watching names just scroll up or watching a video of something as names appear.
Well, the main point of the bet is that the Wii-Mote will be an optional way of controlling the crosshairs if you have it hooked up to Port 2 or something.

it wasnt so bad . i mean i remember having a blast when i played it. but yeah...the only way to play 2 player was to own 2 gba's =\.
game would have been a million times more fun had it been 4 player capable without the need of gbas.

Unfortunately, you're wrong. Second party, being "you", would be referencing someone DIRECTLY from the 1st party. Besides, when we speak of "parties" in gaming, it is a reference to certain types of development houses.
1st party games are developed for specific systems, by the same company that developed the system itself. Nintendo is a 1st party developer, and is referenced by the pronoun "I".
A 2nd party developer is a company housed by a 1st party developer, and develops games for that company's system alone. That would be HAL to Nintendo, and Rare to Microsoft. As 2nd party developers, they are referenced by the pronoun "you".
A 3rd party developer is an independent house that creates games for any system as it so chooses. Usually having no specific, permanent ties, it is reference by the pronoun "them".

Rare hasn't completely left Nintendo. They helped create Star Fox Adventures and they handled the GBA ports of the DKC series.
Star Fox Adventures and the GBA port of DKC were both developed in 2003, before Rare was bought by Microsoft in 2004. There is still a bit of squabble over Rare's acquisiton of DS devkits, though. Microsoft announced that no in-house developers were making games for the DS, but Rare's independent actions suggest otherwise.

Mmmk, nevermind then o.o
Well, anyway, it seems that speculation about new characters is all of the talk, but I'm more interested in if Nintendo is going to screw up WiFi again. The truth is, Nintendo isn't that good with WiFi >__< I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that Nintendo will be smarter. A before-game ping check, disconnect-ratio check, and most importantly, points for winning from a game where some loser bails out (and vice-versa) are all Nintendo needs to make the game perfect.
Also, Nintendo needs a better disconnecting system. My mom disconnected the router before while I was playing MP:H over WiFi and it didn't affect my disconection ratio. I doubt it's hard to make a system that judges if YOU lost your Internet connection or if YOU'RE still connected.
Oh, and modes. How could I forget? Personally I'm looking forward to time matches because you can't stand outside of combat and expect to win. Seeing as this is the "main mode" in Melee (or at least the one selected when you start up the game), then I'd expect it to be for WiFi. But I'd also like stock, coin, bonus, stamina (stamina should really be a regular mode), and whatever creative modes Nintendo can think up.
New characters might be nice but the difference between a good and bad online service will make or break MY lasting appeal. Well, almost, at least. As long as organizing matches between friends isn't too hard, then I'll be fine.
