Yeah. I have a first model set. I got the kit the second day the game came out.

So I messed with the sock mod, and couldn't get it to work, because I didn't have any fluffy enough socks. I used a ski hat (beanie, tobogan, whatever the hell you call it in your corner of the world) instead, and it worked like a charm. I 5*d Orange Crush first try, and got to the guitar solo in RttH. Now I guess I'll be able to do some expert career. My set was too bad to pass a lot of the stuff (also my coordination sucks ).
I think by rolls, he just meant the fast 16th kinda crap. That kind of section in Train Kept A-Rollin' is labeled in practice as "Drum Roll." I finally just figured it out, after having just about full comboed everything before it three or four times, failing out even DURING overdrive, and throwing my sticks a few times.
You need to tap really lightly. Really, REALLY lightly. I'm talking "take your eyes off the screen and try to measure a millimeter up from the pad after each hit" lightly. I found choking up a ton on the sticks to help, too. Hopefully this will at least partially solve my Run to the Hills problems.
Yes. That's the same problem I had with my old drums. I couldn't pass many of the songs, especially Run to the Hills on Hard due to the fast hits.
Call up EA for a replacement to solve all of your problems if you're poor, although you get to keep the old ones until the new set arrives.
EDIT: Since I still have my old drums (lucky me as I didn't have to send mine back), I could try this out to see if this works (the sock method I meant).
Uh, plug it in and navigate the menus with the controller.
And then you sing. Unless there's something else specifically wrong. Then you need to get a new mic.

lol theres a rockband competition in my city about a month from now the funny thing is the drums will be on medium, and everything else on hard. i still dont see why they dont have every instrument on expert? anyways me and my friends are going to go rape it lol. I should get 100% on every song singing on hard, drums medium 100% for my brother, he can get like 95% on wont get fooled again expert so no problem, and i have 2 friends that can do expert on guitar hero 3 so hard should be no problem for them. i cant wait for the money and gift cards etc from the competition haha.
RETIRED
