First of all, you ignored singing, which is incredibly fun, especially when combined with an instrument. Second of all, the "why don't you learn real drums" holds exactly as much water as it does for GH. Real drums cost $500+ to start. Rock Band drums cost $120 to start. "Why not just learn real drums?" Why not just learn real guitar?

Besides, I already knew real drums, and I still find Rock Band drums fun. In fact, what I like to do is run Practice Mode, then sit at my real drums and play along with the TV.

Rock band is really hard with drums... I can't get used to that bass pedal. and people won't play real guitar/real drums because rock band/guitar hero are much cheaper and give you faster results.

Rock band is really hard with drums... I can't get used to that bass pedal. and people won't play real guitar/real drums because rock band/guitar hero are much cheaper and give you faster results.

Some songs, it's all about keeping the beat and rhythm with the song, but songs like Detroit Rock City are tricky, so work in small steps, and learn the bass patterns.

And this is a SIMULATOR. It's like playing those plane simulator games and ask, "Why don't you buy a real plane and drive it?" Rock Band is cheap (compared to a real set), and realistic in it's own sense.

It took me forever to pass Green Grass and High Tides (guitar) without hyperspeed. If it was GH3, I would be able to five star it.

even though the guitar is easier on this game, i like it how you actually have to hit the notes on time with the music, unlike guitar hero 3, plus i personally like the song list better than gh3.

Well, guitar hero is different. Guitar hero isn't exactly a guitar, it's more like that Pop game in japan where you hit the buttons and it registers on screen.

You press the buttons that are on the guitar, and it's NOTHING like playing real guitar.

Drums are the same as playing real drums. Hit pads. Press bass pedal.

Drums is much harder and more expensive, and they are not all on the smae level. Guitar is like playing a one-stringed, five-fretted guitar. Singing is fine if you aren't a wimp. I MANLY BELT OUT RUN TO THE HILLS.
