The only reason I'm sending more Sharpnel and SSH this batch is because that's all I have lying around. Believe me I'd send more interesting stuff if I had it finished on my laptop haha
(I really really want to send my Colony 5 file but it's at home fuuuuuuuuu)

If possible I'll set down and step a Shnabubula epic sometime. Love that man and his works. (not necessarily an artist that hasnt been stepped, but I feel has been under-appreciated in his works, for a long time now.)

Now Im not calling them boring in the sense they are bad, I like some of the artists I listed above, but when a majority of the charts submitted/released these days are from these artists, it gets boring and isnt unique. Dont know if its because people dont want to step outside their comfort zone and step something that may require some extra syncing, or more detailed stepping because of the song, but these over used artists are getting pretty bland.
You're telling me, I got permissions for some of the biggest UK Hardcore / freeform hardcore labels and artists as well as some j-core labels (with very diverse music, from chiptune to breakcore) and nobody seems to step any of it except for wayward vagabond and me, and megamon88 too recently with Mozart on Crack lol.

Truth be told, I had no idea we had permission from them. I know its perhaps in the blanket permissions thread, but I mean I guess from what I have seen it's just not known that well? Not sure if i'm alone here ~ But I kinda wish I would have stepped some of these other guys now.

amazing list!.. and yes I agree FFR needs more jazz I would have loved to see your Mondo Brutale file being in game, but that's just me who demands more hard charts. Damn it, I want to see 300+ bpm streams that don't consists of simple roll patterns ("Almost There" and "do i smile?" doesn't count, too easy anyway) Also, I'm hoping all is well on your trip! I can't even imagine the amount of time it takes to fly over there by plane from the US.

Oh yeah, I might as well ask this since I'm kind of unsure.

When the limit is reached, the batch doesn't close, right? Just that the files after the 125 limit will be judged at a much later time?

That is correct. The judges will review the 120 files already received, so any that are submitted after that must wait. That means though you CAN still submit files at any time then.

So in that case, lets say 12 files are overflow and go into the next batch. Does that mean the initial start of the next batch will be -12? So instead of 120 for the next one only 108 will be accepted?

There won't be such a thing as overflow because any files past the first 120 we receive will be in standing for the next batch of files to be reviewed at a later date.

                            Alright, sweet. Thanks for clarifying.

I'm also assuming that the way judging is handled is not any different from before. With that being there's a deadline for them to have ratings done and so forth.

Or is that different too I wonder?

For now, the time for judging remains the same. It's usually about a week to pack everything up to send to the judges, and three weeks for the judges to review. In the future, we're hoping to speed the process up a bit (most judges actually review within a week but do so at the very end of their deadline) but at the same time we don't want to burn out the judges.

there has been 2 sharpnel songs released in the past 2 years
2 venetian snares songs released in the past 3 years
4 terminal 11 songs in the past 2 years
and not a single renard song this year

i just checked out the songlist for ffr and it seems pretty diverse
