Honestly, I have no idea. I think it had something to do with Krunky arguing about kommisar not giving him detailed notes.

But that argument is over so we might as well get back on topic now.

Currently we're asking judges for "one line notes" as minimum explanation of your ratings, but to be honest judgement notes are optional and all things that judges really need to give are rating numbers.

If you have questions for ratings/notes of your file in detail, asking the judge individually is better.

          Thanks.

So really, judges do not even have to say much at all. Just give ratings....

I did not know this. So really, there should not be any excuse from any judge to not finish their notes/ratings by the deadline then lmao.

I knew about the rule, but I disagree with it in entirety, and I'm sure other judges do as well since they are late with detailed notes.

I personally think it's good to help pinpoint problems that a person has within one simfile so that they reduce the potential of making that same mistake in the future. It works both ways - users get what they want, and eventually, judges get less of what they don't want (i.e. mistakes).

Yes, thank you. I agree with this fully. This is exactly why I do this myself. I would hate for someone to have to figure out where they made their mistakes.

This might depend on personaly preference but I don't always like "long" or "detailed" notes when the most important things for the rating are obscure there. "Tips for the improvement of the files" are nice to have there, but you don't really need to include all of them when you don't have enough time.

                  Anyways,

Yeah, I was really bummed out when I heard that mine just BARELY scraped the acceptance line.

                          But... until next time!

FYI, we have a system to make the rating system fairer (ex. when one judge's rating is drastically lower/higher than others).

                            - If average rating of one group is higher than another one, the final ratings will be adjusted between groups (average file quality factor = 50%, judge's strictness factor = 50%).
                            - If a judge is stricter/more lenient (lower/higher average rating) than others in the same group, the ratings will be adjusted. Variation of ratings will be considered too.
                            - We calculate final scores of a file in two ways, "raw average" and "adjusted average" (halving MAX & MIN scores). If one of these is above the cutoff then the file is accepted. Both scores should be above the certain line for SAP(2) or SAP(3).
