My parents are taking it likely, but I'm extremely nervous. I told them to be safe and don't do any deliveries that day.

I would have loved if it had hit Florida. Would have brought back memories.

But in all seriousness, Hurricanes should not be taken lightly. Speaking from Experience.

That should be the main worries. Pennsylvania, NJ, and CT already are in a rainfall surplus. Anymore rain probably may cause some bad flooding.

People on this chat are making me want to facepalm. One person was like, "Can I drive up the Atlantic city expressway to Ny on the 28th?" I was just like are you kidding me? The meteorologists are pretty much to a point where they're like you people are dumb. Not actually saying that, but I'm sure you know what I mean lol.

I hate being on the east coast in times of hurricanes. Generator keeps me sane during power outages

yesss, look at that dotted line avoid me. august is really making up for the lack of rainfall in the first half of the year. it does seem like the storm will lose intensity quickly, though.

                    Re: Hurricane Irene

Keep in mind: Hurricane force winds are about 75+ MPH are are nothing to laugh at on the northeast coast. As it runs into the Delaware bay and into New Jersey its expected to diminish into a tropical storm, which could still bring 30-50 MPH winds into New Jersey, New York and the Delaware valley. Not only is flooding going to be a major problem around any creek or river, trees and power lines will be a serious risk. If you have any weak trees in the area they face very good odds of being knocked out from this very atypical storm.

Aye, another hurricane for the east coast. Gonna be a rough ride, but I think everything will be okay. Of course, that doesn't mean that the hurricane won't cause a huge mess for people, but overall I think everyone will be okay. Damages yes, but nobody dying is more important.

Also, psychoangel, I have same feel. Some people are just stupid. That's life for you I suppose.

Come hang out in Cali with me for a few days. It's been about 75 degrees every day this summer~

I live right next to the Pacific, so that's why my weather is so temperate.

But naw, they don't really live there.

Anyway, just watching this storm because it's predicted to come close to Ontario. Don't want any bad spin-off storms coming here.
