No they aren't. I mean, I guess they COULD be, but I've seen a screenshot with a GM that was like level 30 or something.

Also, word is that there are many GMs these days that don't even have the ability to appear as a character in game. There's a video that a GM posted on Youtube of them moving around a map with the GM interface.

I haven't played for a year and a half and I know that you can't buy a Zakum helm. I don't think it's possible because you can't trade it. So unless they changed the system, I think the only way you can get it is by fighting Zakum. It would be fitting after all, those who beat it will get it. I really wouldn't like seeing random level ones walking around with stuff I can't have because of a defecit of mesos.

MapleStory's economy is so screwed up right now, it's funny. In fact, it's hilarious. That's why I dumped MapleStory long ago. Because of it, I understand how MapleStory is so stupid in the first place. The next MMORPG on my list, if I get money, is Dark Ages Of Camelot. I heard it's pretty awesome.

Actually, people pay Zakum groups to come on the run and loot a helm. It is true that you can't trade or drop the helm, but you can take a lower level person into the altar for the sole purpose of looting a helm in exchange for lots of mesos.

Check out the world specific forum on Sleepywood. I think most of the major groups have threads saying who to contact to buy a helm from them. I think minimum cost is around 100 mil though, probably much more on worlds with less Zakum groups running.
