Thanks for the info everyone. Im just going to be a Fighter and Stick with 1 handed swords. You didn't mention anything about Stat points, just 3 STR 2 DEX(to keep it dbl my level)? Does anybody have a character in Bera? Also, whats good xp for me.. Right now im camped up at the excavation site killing the things with wood, or stone covering their faces and Ghost stumps. Its .09- .06 xp, and they are moderately easy to kill.

I would recommend 2 hand swords, just because they're more powerful. I mean, it doesn't really matter, because a sword user can switch between 1 hand and 2 hand whenever they feel like, just saying that you'll be stronger with 2 hand.

As for stats: Don't add any to dex ever unless you're going to be leveling on something new and you need the higher dex to get more accuracy to be able to hit them. And even then, accuracy gear is better. There are 100+ warriors with less than 10 dex and they are much stronger because of it.

One thing I don't think anybody else mentioned: 2hand swords are the most popular, making them and the upgrade scrolls for them the most expensive out of the 4 choices (1h/2h sword, 1h/2h axe). 1h axe scrolls are some of the cheapest things ever, as are 1h axes. But 1h sword will even be a dramatic drop in price over a 2h sword. They are just about as strong because of their speed, but you'll use more pots (more, faster swings is still more swings, meaning more MP used). That's offset by the drastic cost difference when scrolling and buying new swords, though. xD

Also, if you have been doing dex = double your level STOP NOW. If you have nearly 60 dex already that's way too much. My 4X spearlady has less than 40 dex, and I thought it was kinda up there for her level. o_O

Yeah they're "cheaper" but they're also quite rare to find for sale because people tend to not sell things if they aren't worth a lot.

So you might end up saving a lot of money by going with a less popular weapon, but you'll be a bit weaker and you'll waste a lot of time searching for weapons and scrolls for sale.

I mean, I'm not asking this question for myself, because frankly, I wouldn't bother to tell you if I just use an unrandomizer/AC/stuff of the sort, but rather, for "reference". I just want to hear your opinions.

yea.. Should I restart the character?.. lol.. My Dex is 58, with strength being around 101. When I started playing this game, over a year ago, all the guides said, make DEX double your level. Why the change in Strats? Also, I still haven't gotten a guild invite yet.. Whats up with that?

Well just dont tell people you used an unrandomizer, and ur still considered to be legit by most if you use an ac.

The fact that I had Dialup for a bit making it impossible to train.

Alright, Bera it is. Anyone with some uber MS skills can give me a detailed plan for the most efficient job, i.e. the one that levels the fastest and that's the most fun to play. I'm thinking.. anything but warrior!

Pure int cleric.

Do you want a UCE and .CT so you can unrandomize it, or do you just want to roll for an 11?

However, a lot of people hate playing clerics for some reason. They just get bored of it(even though I never do), so you might want to be an Ice/Light mage.

Some people also like Assassins, but that's really up for you to decide. They're not a wonderful thing to start out, because you'll probably want to be low dex, and that costs a lot of money. You don't have to be low dex though.
