That doesn't make a whole lot of sense. For me, I have speed gear that I wear when I'm fighting weaker things. Being a little bit stronger isn't that important to me when I'm fighting weaker things.

More int on a Gaia would be good because of the added defense though. It'd be used for fighting the higher strength monsters that I'd actually have trouble with, so it makes sense to value int and def together over int and speed.

And besides, I don't think Noah has a speed icarus. He will however have a free gaia soon.

Jesus... You guys are off and on with the defense thing. First you want to get all the defense you can. I say how worthless it is, then suddenly you guys are telling others how worthless defense is unless there is a lot. Now you're back to choosing slight defense over much improved fighting.

It's a really stupid decision for any class other than thieves to choose another cape over an icarus (2) cape (unless it was an adventurers cape, which aren't out yet.. even then, 2 atk isn't a huge difference for classes other than thieves, so I'd probably still go with a (2)). Very stupid..... The defense you won't notice AT ALL. But hey, by all means, choose to take 5 less damage from a monster that does over 1k.

If you want it for looks, that's one thing. But for defense? Plain stupid... rofl... Hey, your characters to f up, not mine.

PS: He can sell the gaia.

Jason, I barely have enough money for 5 60%s. I am not about to waste money on speed. I have a jump Icarus, sadly. And you say "It's a really stupid decision...to choose another cape over an icarus (2) cape" as though we get a choice in that quest, but we don't. If I get an icarus2 with any of my other characters (once they hit 42, that is >__>) I would definitely scroll it over a gaia. Hell, I'd scroll an Icarus1 over any other cape (avoidability lowers dmg way more than def does), but not an Icarus3.

And regardless, it's not going to "f up" my character if I scroll something other than a speed cape. In the end, the stats on the base cape aren't important to me at all, I just want the int boost so I can 2hk Pangs more often (and later 1hk Jetis sooner).

A little bit more def is unimportant, but I can get the little bit of speed that I'm missing from using another cape from a speed pill if I really feel the need.

However, since int isn't important to leveling, I'd only use the higher def cape for big things. And last I checked, I never need a lot of speed for anything involving fighting bigger things (ignoring tele completely because I have that no matter what)

Whoo, I have been working really hard on PQ's...

I'm still having trouble with the Arwen's Glass Shoe quest. Fire Boars are a lil' tough for me, and all the peeps that sell Arwen's Glass Shoe sell them for like 200k-500k. If ANYONE here uses the server Broa, and has a Glass Shoe, can I have it please? I REALLY want to get this effin annoyance of a quest over with.

PS: Reached lvl 27 so far. Only 3 levels for 2nd Job Advancement. Yay.

Arwen's shoe isn't worth it.

If you want it just to complete the quest, just buy one. Only worth about 200k in Bera, I'd imagine about the same in Broa.

And when you complete it, DON'T TALK TO HER AGAIN or you'll have to get another shoe to remove the quest from your "in progress" tab.

Speed plays a huge role in leveling speed. Whatever... haha... Like I said, you could always sell your gaia.

You can get an icarus (2) for dirt cheap on basil. But hey, whatever.. lol

This viewpoint is the same as mine on not maxing tele in the end. It's plain stupid, unless you honestly do not care about leveling faster, helping friends when they need it, and in a clerics case, getting to your party in time to heal them.

Then again, I'm a stat whore and love to make my characters the best, or closest as I can get to be the best. You should take a look at my KotOR/KotOR II characters. I put a lot of time customizing them, just like my MS character. That's where I get the most fun.

Customizing too much can get boring, though, at least to me.

I've always said defense is unimportant. My pure int takes about 30 more damage from monsters that do 450 damage than normal mages do, only I have a lot more MP and do a LOT more damage.

That means when we're all level 100, I'll probably take the massive amount of 150 more damage and only do a couple thousand more from my black umbrella. Oh darn.
