ROFL!! Tosh, as a fire mage who has gone farther than you and had bandit pass me, I will assure you, fire mages DO NOT DO MORE DAMAGE to single targets anymore. Once we get explosion we can do massive damage to multiple things, and that is by far the best mob attack, but we aren't that strong. Mages don't benefit nearly as much for each point of attack, so once other classes get on up there level-wise and scroll the crap out of their gear, we are left in the dust.

However, Jason, Tosh is partially right. I've read Flenaris's guide (he's in his 80s or 90s, I think? So he knows what he's talking about) and fire mages are stuck with 1hk monsters for a while. We won't be killing the big stuff in Ludi until our late 80s or so. I have personally witnessed high level fire mages at Jetis, and when I ask them why they're there they say it's for the 1hk cuz it's way faster.

Also, I agree with ckj. Give advice, not orders. Look back at that convo yourself and take note of HOW MANY TIMES YOU USE CAPS TO STRESS YOUR POINTS! When you do that, people feel attacked, and people under attack get defensive and do NOT listen. That, and they start using caps back at you, and then everybody just gets pissed off and nothing happens. ckj is right, there are various playstyles and you need to accept that.

Now, back on the speed note: Like Squeek mentioned, fire mages get lots of enemies grouped on fairly small maps. Read what I said again: Most of my movement is with tele. About the only time I walk is when I need to pick stuff up and it's too close for me to tele to it. Most of the time I'm attacking constantly and tele'ing while I do it. Unlock sins, I can't jump and shoot, so speed doesn't affect me nearly as much.

Knowing that speed doesn't help much is why I was a bit angry that you advised him to get tele instead of med. Tele doesn't help at all at Jr. Pepes, and it's not practical to move to Jetis when you can't 2hk them 90+% of the time. Med helps you do that, tele does not. Getting Tele before Slow (something I didn't do), however, is a big deal. Me "suddenly realizing tele was useful" was because I got 10 points in Slow first and realized I never used it. It was NOT because I got med first. Now I see better where you were coming from, but yeah....med first med first med first med first. =P

The rest of the night that I played was spent just fooling around on my archer and my cleric. I hate training and training because it gets so boring to me. Again, I think that is why I started different characters because I get tired of a class very very fast. I am to the point of my archer where I don't really like to even play it. Its a lot more fun being a cleric to me just because I enjoy helping others and I like being depended on. I don't care about getting stronger all that much... I gained 5% in like 3 hours. XD

Other things played a large part of this decision, but it was mainly because I don't like Priests anymore.

Once you get to level 88 and need 5.5 million EXP to level without even a place to solo for when your friends aren't online, you tell me if it sucks or not. Basically I would sign on, see that nobody party-worthy was online, then sign off. It sucks. Anyone who says Priests can solo is an idiot and should be shot. You CAN solo. If you want 3-5% an hour as compared to 15-20% an hour.

Dragon Knights would be good at level 50, yes. They would be pretty superior to all the other Dragon Knights by level 70.

No one has a spare Esther shield on Bera, unfortunately. Squeek might have one on Scania.

You're too weak to hunt one and a safe bet too poor to buy one, so why are you even asking us? The only reason they put a L33 limit on it is so that there weren't second accounts that are level eight running around with them. Forget about it until at least mid-fourties.
