Ok. I can tell from the pictures a bit, but explain a few things to me (I'm not a Priest YET...)

1) How did Mystic Door work? You died somewhere along the way and she opened it for you as you got further in, right? Also, did that Assassin come through without being in the party?

2) What did she kill it with (Ray or Arrow)? Any drops?

I'm moreso interested in exactly how the Door worked because it's one of the few things that goes unexplained among Priests on SW...

Yea, the defense on on my seraphis is completely meaningless. It doesn't matter if I take more damage than I would otherwise since I can already grind on Coolies. I'd love to get a +5 one, but +4 is DEFINITELY NOT below average.

And yea, Noah, you can have one if I get another. It'll cost you more than a +4 speed white bottom though.

It's from the guy in pet park.
your supposed to take it to the top of the obsticle course with your pet and your pet gets experience points.

It was actually quite interesting. Apparently, the mystic door appears in certain places in each city. In SW, it is in front of the hotel, as shown in the ss. Since I died, I was sent back to SW while the cleric continued forward into the sanctuary. When she found Balrog, she made the mystic door where she was and it appeared in front of tne hotel with her name on top of the door. I guess the sin couldn't see the door at first, because he was not in the party. Only party memebers can go through the mystic door. When we arrived at balrog (Me, the cleric, and the sin) I instantly died. XD The sin was actually level 9x and had shadow partner. He also had some weird bubble stars that made water sounds when it hit the monster. He died from the fire that the Balrog threw. The cleric used shining ray the whole time and summoned the dragon. She was doing between 2.5k to 4k of damage with shining ray (Only level 97...). The drops were only 2 bags of money... Sorry I couldn't get any better SS because I was on a laptop and all I could do was print screen/paint/upload, which took too long.

It's a shame that the Assassin died. Shows how weak they are =D

Shining Ray is powerful stuff when it's maxed. 157 base damage to Undead / Dark enemies and 6-hit. It's more powerful than Ice Strike after it gets its elemental bonus and not much weaker than Explosion. In addition, it doesn't cast very slowly at all.

Which is why Priests own.

When you see Shining ray being used, it looks like it sucks, but it does a good amount of damage. Also, when you cast it, all the monsters freeze and get hit. So, even though it might take a little longer, it still does the around the same amount of damage. It is actually much faster than Explosion for fire mages, and a little slower than Ice Strike. I am enjoying jms!

And are you sure about explosion being slower? I've seen videos of all the skills, and shining ray looks kinda slow but explosion looks surprisingly fast. If anything, I'd say the major drawback of explosion is that once you get elemental amp, it costs 100 MP per cast. Well, that, and explosion looks the least cool of all of them. :\

And uh, I guess I will play jMS here and there, but if 3rd jobs get released in gMS within a month like that GM said (cuz they always speak the truth, ya know) then I will definitely give up jMS in order to get to 70 and have explosion really fast, cuz that will make me level soooooo much faster.

Explosion takes a while to cast. There is a small delay after each cast, much like a xbowman. Plus, the spell is pretty long itself. Some symbol pops up, then it explodes, then you wait a second or two. Shining ray has no delay after the attack. Yeah, but if gms has 3rd jobs coming out soon, I"ll quit jms. Until then.....

Dude, I've seen videos of both being cast, and explosion seemed to be casted faster. I haven't seen them side by side, though, so I dunno. Wait...do Priests get booster? If not, that may be what it was, cuz the videos I saw were of really high level people, so they may have had booster to make them ridiculously much faster while the priest didn't.

In other news, gMS patch = time to play jMS. I had a character on the server that is a plus sign, but I'll make one on Sakura now. IGN = wwwFFRcom :P

PS: Is it just me, or is there no hair color selection when making a character in jMS? o__O

Anyone know what this little boy does? When I click on him, two sentences in kanji pop up, and then nothing. Quest? Not high enough level?

EDIT: Squeek, you get that letter at Pet Park in Henesys just for talking to the guy. You go through an obstacle course(pointless right now seeing as we don't have pets yet..) and give the letter to the other guy at the top. You get bonuses and stuff for your pet. Nothing of interest really in Pet Park except that the Archer Coucil holds their meetings there.
