Well, this is to the best of my knowledge. Magic/summoning rocks cost 5k from Alcaster in El Nath (if of course you are above level 60) so im guessing they will sell for around 3.5-4.5k from people who find them.
Magic door is going to be usful imo for a few reasons:
Hermits/sins in your party will gladly pay you 5k to open the door for them to recharge stars which, in the end, means more exp for you. Also random people may pay you around 10-15k to allow them to go recharge or repot. So after consideration I've decided to put one point into Mystic Door right away (well i get 18 SP anyway lol).
Ok here comes the answers to the questions that I am attempting to answer:
Magic amp, from what I hear, is a DEFINATE priority, I wouldnt wait as long as you are planning to max it. As for explosion : composition, I have no idea which is more useful, but mostly explosion like you said. If nothing else check sw.net for the 3rd job magician FAQ (forget who posted). Should give you a general idea for you to base your build off of.
