I agree that they (and I) shouldn't say it, but it's not at all helping by giving them any attention at all over it. They will stop in time when they see that they are getting no where. It's human nature, after all.

Emithith, why in the hell are you even making a big deal about this? You're not even close to anyone within the SM community - hell, it only seems like you're doing it to band-wagon a clique that you can never be a part of.

You should also take notice that you're one of the few users who are complaining about something like this. How is following the rules bringing about a negative attention? The only attention that is being brought about is the people who are whining about bans they're taking from spewing the same garbage over and over again.

I'm sorry since when does age has to do with how people post. All it took was my feedback on something and bam, shitstorm. Personally, if someone was to determine how someone posts by age, then you're ****ing biased as hell. I mean come on, why would you put age in this argument AJ. I think this is a pretty naive view of things. If you don't enforce a certain level of moderation, trolls and spammers WILL take over a forum, and it becomes an unbearable place to post when you're surrounded by sociopaths and retards.

On the other hand, I think enough time has passed and that the expected level of disruptions, overall, would be far lower by just unbanning Kommi and getting it over with (unless he's been acting like a tard on alts or something since then).

There's no such thing as 100%-effective moderation, especially when you're dealing with a site geared towards a younger audience. If people really want to get around bans and make your life hell, they can. Punishments should be annoying enough to keep people from acting out of line, but not so harsh that it gives people incentive to go full-retard/full-tilt for revenge's sake. In this case, I honestly can't think of too many offenses that would warrant a ban longer than a week at most.

I was joking, haha. That should have been relatively clear when justin_ator targeted me for attacking Emith about his age.

And I was right about what I thought. Everyone is acting out and Kommi is the one suffering. Do you guys see what's going on here?

I get more crap for deleting posts than I do for slapping people with a light ban. And just deleting the posts does absolutely nothing. Maybe people will eventually get sick of being banned over and over and stop. Pretty much the same logic as you have just a different action taken.
