The premise of a Free Kommi ban to me is nothing short of people spamming threads.

That is a rule on the forums. Nothing more to it. Emith (and everyone else, for that matter) can see it the way that they feel like it, but the fact that you're borderline breaking a forum rule that's explicitly stated within the stickies and continuously spewing it on the forums is nothing short of annoying.

I would like to see Chris back, and I'd hope that he's not the one getting others to act this way. The kommisar that I know wouldn't tell people to be disruptive on the forums, but you know what, all of the people acting the way they are is making staff even -more- irritated and even -less- inclined to bring him back.

No one knows who's acting on the behalf of everyone.

If it takes the removal of a few immature people to make that point clear, I'm sure FFR can take a minor hit to stop disruption of the community.

The free kommi thing has come to the point where it isnt intended to be said as a way to wanting him free but more of a way to piss people off since it has been spammed around so much to the point where it is annoying and is now said to start and purposefully annoy people. It went from "free kommi" to "free [insert banned person here]" which is taking this situation to the point where it is going to draw consequences. Its pretty much to the point where saying it is trolling which is a bannable offense.

The free kommi thing has come to the point where it isnt intended to be said as a way to wanting him free but more of a way to piss people off since it has been spammed around so much to the point where it is annoying and is now said to start and purposefully annoy people. It went from "free kommi" to "free [insert banned person here]" which is taking this situation to the point where it is going to draw consequences. Its pretty much to the point where saying it is trolling which is a bannable offense.

The only reason I am even in this whole "stop with the free kommi spamming rule" is because the rule is BS and it's really messed up that a bunch of admins and moderators are overthinking it by banning people. That's the only reason. The rule is BS and it's not helping.

It's only spam if it's actually spam. Immature posts aren't necessarily worthy of punishment unless they're a serious disruption with a justifiable reason for canning them.

I don't read all the threads here -- but if people are spamming FREE [NAME] all over the place, then obviously it's disruptive. But from time-to-time (especially if the initial ban was unjustified to begin with), then wgaf.

B) It's not really something that should be bannable for. If ANYTHING just for a day, after a warning, but 3 days is just ****ing retarded, I know what you're getting at, but there's nothing text can do if you guys have the power to keep him banned. Or what? Are you guys afraid you will see their point and get convinced or something?
Either way the rule is totally unprofessional, and you guys just furthered my point that it is definitely a rule that was put in place because they don't want to see a group of people (even though by banning these people they are actually joining up into groups because you instigated a pissed off hornet's nest worth of people) saying Free Kommi.

The fact is it is a rule and people are pushing it knowing that it's a rule. People aren't going around saying "free kommi" just for that cause, they say it as a big FU to the moderators/administrators that banned him. How many of you actually saw everything that went down that night? I like kommi but what he and his following did that night was ridiculous. Honestly I think he would have been unbanned by now if his following hadn't started so much crap afterward and if he had just stopped ban evading.

Anyway, if you think a rule is stupid, running around breaking it isn't going to help your cause at all. You break the rules you get the punishment. I don't want to hear this "I didn't get a warning" junk because you flat out know it's against the rules. And if you get punished for it once and do it again expect a longer punishment. You don't like the rule take it up with an admin instead of running around acting like children.

Again, the banning is logical to a certain extent, and I can see why you guys are all banning people for "spamming" but it's almost like deliberate butthurt-banning. You guys don't want it to continue? Just delete the post and move on.

This IS off topic, I know. But really, the ban is the fun factor for the trolls and it wouldn't have gotten this bad if you didn't ban people (that's even why I am in this to begin with, so call me butthurt or whatever.)

people were spamming free [name] for a good amount of time when kommi and others got banned though thats when people started getting banned for saying it. though everything has calmed down considerably people still post free kommi whenever he is mentioned in any thread.

Second off: it's being posted all over the site, not just the forums. People (like yourself) are holding it in your signature, and again, it serves as not only a disruption to the forums/site (hence the removal), but also as a connotative remark to staff.

Think about it realistically - go on public property and deface it. Claim it was an accident and you might get off with a warning. Do it again and you'll face a fine. Continuously do it and you'll be thrown in jail. There's many ways to compare this to other things, and the fact that you don't understand it is a bit shocking to me.
