My TPs went down by 3 from the AAA update. Looks like when I get an external keyboard I now have some more motivation to fix up my 100+ unplayed songs, haha.
By the way do you have a list of the songs that will be used in the new tier point list? Before now there was a tp system that also went into double digit requirements with certain songs.

Yeah I know TPs were re-coded to include double digit reqs at one point, but currently it's much more convenient for me to use the old TP system. If the double digit system ever becomes a fully integrated part of the site with a convenient way of adding/removing songs, I'll adjust the current list to offer more points for each tier level in order to include songs of lower difficulty. I do like the idea of including songs rated 50 or higher on the list, mid-C seems like a good entry level point for the TP list.
Eze and I haven't chosen songs to be added/removed yet, but songs with shitty combo-breaking spikes (WW pt. 2 etc.) will definitely not be included. If you want to help us formulate the list, you're more than welcome Roy. I know you're not up to date with the entire library of songs at the moment (but if you have plans on playing everything, let me know).
Although I have a good idea of what I want to include on the list atm.
Rough list is done. 172 songs, 950 points, 1000 with bonus. No Legacy files, no DP or RATO, some tokens. Sadly I didn't extend the tier list down to songs starting at 50, but for good reason. Using the old tier system caps us at 9 tier points for a single song, and achieving a 3/9 req for something like Rave7 (FC'ing the song) or snagging a '12 or fewer' 3/5 on a mid-FMO like 300 is a lot harder than what would've been AAA'ing or BF'ing a mid-C. 3/X reqs are supposed to be around as equally difficult to achieve regardless of what X is. AAA'ing/BF'ing mid-VCs seems more appropriate (so yes, I did extend the list further downwards to include songs of lower difficulties than what's currently present, just not as much as I'd proposed earlier, sorry)
If at some point the double digit tier system is ported over and fully integrated with the site, these current reqs can easily be translated upwards to include more songs of lower difficulty.
Here's the full list, again, not finalized (please excuse my shorthand for some files): http://pastebin.com/V0BTPzYd
You'll notice AAA/BF/2 next to songs on the upper half of the list (I haven't finished the bottom yet). Songs on the list will follow one of these templates:
2 or fewer
SDG or better
25 or fewer
60 or fewer
150 or fewer
300 or fewer
80% or higher
65% or higher
50% or higher
BF or better
5 or fewer
15 or fewer
40 or fewer
100 or fewer
250 or fewer
90% or higher
75% or higher
50% or higher
AAA
4 or fewer
12 or fewer
25 or fewer
60 or fewer
150 or fewer
300 or fewer
80% or higher
60% or higher
Files of lower difficulty within each sub-tier will be given the AAA template. Files of medium difficulty and most songs with 2k+ notes will be given the BF template. The hardest files within each sub-tier will be given the 2 or fewer template, as well as most files with 3k+ notes (unless the file is relatively low in difficulty compared to the rest of the sub-tier --> see RwoB/WEYX).
So an X/3 file with the AAA template will contain the top three reqs of the template (AAA, 4 or fewer, 12 or fewer), an X/6 file = the top six reqs, X/9 = all reqs (actually some of the X/9 reqs will be adjusted with wider margins between tiers due to the difficulty of these files). Likewise for BF and 2 or fewer templates.
Comments/criticisms? Songs you'd rather have included than some that are currently on there (and why?) If no one has any objections, I'll just start revamping the current tier list slowly during my spare time.
SDG or better means 9.8 goods in terms of raw scoring (9 goods and 4 boos) or better and 9.95 goods in terms of combo scoring (9 goods and 13 boos) or better. 9 or better just means 9 goods or better, so "9 or better" would make the requirement a little harder than it should be. Yeah, it should be changed to 9 or better to prevent confusion.
Gave you a couple of suggestions Rob, check your Skype if you haven't seen it already

Quick update. 72 songs have been added, exactly 100 left to go. All 3s and 4s are up at the moment, currently working on the 5s (halfway through). A bunch of you have probably lost tier points up until now since I've been replacing old 6s/7s/8s/9s as I've been adding the 3s, 4s, and 5s, but that'll end shortly since I'm about 75% through the old list and will soon just be adding songs to the list instead of replacing them.
Everything should be up sometime within the first week of June.
