But I see the advantages of focusing TP on purely PA so I won't bother arguing it.
We already have other ways of measuring combo-scoring, so it makes sense that this system is different.
Quick question: It seems like our level ranks only contain the data for the best combo-based score we have. Is our data also being stored somewhere for all of our best raw-based scores? The reason I asked it because I'm worried that the tier point system is going to retrieve data from my level ranks page when it's initially released. The thing is, I SS and/or save replays of all my scores that have a better raw score than the raw scores on my best combo-based scores. So I wondering if there will be something similar in format to the unrecorded forms score to get the tier points I deserve for all my SS's that have good raw-score but bad combo-scores.
Honestly, I'm not sure. I remember hearing that it would be okay to run the tier point system off raw score, so I assume it's at least possible. I also remember a levelstats_raw.php page that gave the list of the best recorded raw scores on each song, but I'm not sure if that was just checking the current scores or not. So I guess right now we just have to hope that a staff member who understands how FFR is set up internally will be able to help out with this.
If that doesn't work, we could always switch back to the combo-scoring ideas we had earlier (1pt = pass, 2pt = FC with bad PA, going up from there), but I'd rather not unless there's no choice.
