Heres a crazy suggestion:
% FCs also count for bonus points. Gives people incentives to FC songs they can't AAA and arn't worth TP.

I think this would just encourage mashing to FC the highest-difficulty songs, and we don't want to suggest that the ability to mash makes someone more skillful.

yeah, like every 10-11 songs, 1 TP
Is that a big deal?
Its pretty hard to FC 10-12 songs regardless. Its way easier to get more TPs by getting better at tier songs. I doubt anyone will mash for TPs.
This is so someone who goes and FC's Dance 1 actually gets some reward.

Oh people mash for TPs now, but solid mashing would only give you 1 TP for passing with the current system.
So even with FC bonus points, it would still reward mashers far less. It'd be like 1.09 TPs for mash FCing a FGO, vs 1 TP for just passing it

This TP system was even made raw scoring to discourage mashing out for TPS.

Raw scoring focus on PAing a file not comboing a file. If Byron and the other had decided to go with combo scoring instead of raw scoring, then there would be no problem with it. But its no longer going to use lolcomboscoring.

Anyhow, I liked how the TP list turned out. Hyped for the release (and lmao at the lower reqs for the "For Dossar Only" files xP)

lol, we already slightly reward antiskill with token AAAs being worth something small.
Idk I think FCing is a skill, and mashing is a part of FC skill.

FCing songs is rewarded with the associated low ranks you get from playing a song since the game is combo-based. There is no further need to reward people with FC's***.

It's why I also discourage AAAs to be the max requirement, but I suppose some AAAs should be rewarded since AAAing some files is very difficult.

If the majority of the community does not want this to be changed into this revised TP system then we will never change it. Also, remember that when you Full Combo a file, you are guaranteed to get at least one or two tier points and sometimes even more points if your PA meets the higher requirements even without an FC.

Bonuses are designed for players who have done the extra work by unlocking tokens and by playing all of the FFR files that is not included in this TP system and AAAing those (including tokens). I think this system is pretty strong as it is and will only get stronger as we head towards the future. Also, mashing your way to an FC is not considered skill at all. We highly want to encourage players to not mash for a Full Combo! (:
