personally, i think the stepfile guys shouldn't be influenced at all by any other files created for a song... and should step it based upon their own judgments and awesomeness.

clearly that rarely is the case, but Tass can dream, right?

makes me frown when half the files in FFR get compared to SM counterparts.

Have you played some of the counterparts? The one I was talking about goes perfectly to the song. Anything but jacks would be weird, regardless of the fact that this is just what I'm used to because of playing this song in sm.

I do agree with you for the most part. I like it when people are original with their files, especially when the same song has been stepped more than once.

i don't play stepmania. i haven't played ANY of the counterparts... save 2-3 that have been around 4+ years, like the 8107 files and doku. also ASb. i think that's it.

I think it depends on the BPM. Shash didn't mention it, so I'm ok with jacks as long as they don't exceed 110 BPM.

why's everyone afraid of jacks still. I'm ****ing horrible at jacks and I'm excited for more hard jack files, it's a new challenge that's pretty much missing from FFR now. all we have now are ridiculously stupid L-R trills like CP and Molto, and **** like DP that's a mashfest anyway.
