in the future, please don't do that. i get a ton of emails... it kinda pisses me off to get a whole bunch of emails all about 1 simfile. it also tells me that you don't check your work and rush to submit stuff. fix everything before sending it to me. have people test it and tell you what they think you should fix, etc.

Basically the reason why I didn't send anything before the submissions closed. Who are some good people I can get these checked by? Some people tended to take over my stepfile. I didn't like that.

              Midday knows my AIM, haha.

I just go through all the technical accuracies and consistencies pretty much, and then I state any personal ideas I have for it haha

And I don't want to wait until July to send in those improvements on files that were queued so long ago.

If we are going to have to wait until July to send in improvements, then there are a few songs I stepped I'd wish to have taken out of the queue...
I improved Otter's Dance (almost completely re-did it), Psychopathy 101 (added steps at the beginning and end), and I will improve Delta Beat and Ska Cha Cha (because I really don't like the state that they're in now, especially, well, both of them). For those files, I would not want them in FFR the way they were when they were accepted.
I wouldn't mind Lover Reef going in to the game as it is, but I might find a few things to change...
EDIT: Realized that I needed to add some silence at the beginning of the .mp3 so the first note would be after the two-second mark... If I don't send in an improvement, would it be possible that you (someone over there) could add in that silence so the first step will fit in? ... Hm, also realized I missed a sixteenth right before the 61st measure... And I don't want to wait another month just to fix a single sixteenth note...
Quoting all of this because it applies to multiple questions/curiosities I have, as well. I'm in a similar situation with my Wish (Reprise) file. My old version almost got put in the game recently when I asked for it to be pulled a couple months back (as stated before, so I can fix up a few things), so I would hate to see that happen to someone else. And yeah...knowing the answer to Silvuh's question about sending in fixed-up files that have already been queued would be helpful.

If someone could answer these questions here, it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

                  Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread

If people are allowed to redo files that are already in the queue but still yet to be released, it would help clear up the current queue too.

                    Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread

i'm fine with people tweaking currently queue'd files. please post in here explaining what files you're changing, what changes you made, etc etc.

if it's something very minor (1 or 2 notes or adding silence), i won't bother re-testing, will just replace the current dwi with the old one. if it's a bit more, will be on a case-by-case basic. if it's a big overhaul of the file, it likely would be a situation where we'd remove the current queue file and have you completely resubmit in june/july.

i like the non-FMO/FGO batch one. jx agrees. rebirth likes the FMO/FGO one. i tend to lean towards my own judgments... especially when at least 1 of jx/rebirth agrees.

                          Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread

btw, are there any files in the FMO/FGO batch that weren't used in the event but were accepted to the regular queue?

I think some of them are good enough for being accepted.

Are those accepted then? Or just potentially acceptable when the time comes for resubmits.
