I really laughed at the things stargroup said about bmah's 101 Kittens (or whoever said that and then stargroup posted).

          Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread

Yay my first file got in.
So files need to be in by midnight tomorrow (or I guess today if it's that late).

Oh to all those out there that think they need to have stepped an assload of files:

Endless Altercation was maybe my 4th or 5th attempt at stepping any file whatsoever (first attempt for FFR, actually), and my first file that I've ever fully completed. It's really not about how many files you stepped, it's about how much effort you put into it. Taking into account, of course, FFR's engine and stuff.

Took me like 3 hours to make, ~1.5 hours to make bigger changes, and then ~.5 hours to revise after my first submission (I changed more than just the green jumps).

Am I the only one who takes around a week to completely finish a file? (Including revising, having people test, re-looking over it, and of course placement and what not)

                Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread

OMG! jx gave me a ++

Theme of the Dragoon Knights (SulferDragon) [+?] - want more doubles
Instead of resubmitting this I may just resubmit Huzzah!! considering I took the time to make it PR. No need to submit two 50 second files.

Sting Chameleon! (SulferDragon) [+?] - ok but double placement could be better, more PR patterns at parts(for the guitar and base)
Hmmm... ok, no argument. I guess I'll try to work on that.

Kamone 100% (SulferDragon) [+] (10) - song is very repetitive, but ok
lol, that's Sharpnel! You really should have heard this song before I edited 1:30 off of it.

And apparently I'm having some BPM/syncing issues, so I better start checking that a little more >_>

P.S. I hope you guys like Grandolin, because it's basically the best that song can yield.

                    Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread

                    stargroup: which file?

for the millionth time: this batch was only for sept 26th until oct 17th. if you submitted after that, it ain't in this batch notes. check the screenshot i posted back around the 17th to see which files are in this batch.

for the millionth and first time: please be considerate to rebirth and jx. it really pisses me off to see people submitting 8 or 10 files, then a few days later commenting on how bad some of the submissions were. crap like that is a WASTE OF THEIR TIME. they spend a lot of time on the batches, for all of you. not for themselves. the more bull**** nonsense crap you submit that wastes their time, the longer it takes them to play each batch. Maybe if each batch only had 30-40 submissions, they could test each file twice for better accuracy. But with each batch being so large, there isn't enough time. Because of all the crap.

I would be so much happier if we got 50 files every 3 weeks instead of 110, and were able to queue the same number out of that group, if not more. quality. not quantity. if you don't have at least 10 files in the queue or in the game, you should be having EVERY SINGLE FILE YOU SUBMIT tested by at least 3 worthwhile testers... and by worthwhile, i mean the people who actually do have files in the game. not random joe schmoe who has submitted 25 POS files to the simfile db and randomly posts their email in here.

so if you want to get on my good side... please let me know now if there are files you've submitted to this batch that you know are going to waste our time. i will like you a lot more if you're honest and tell me to delete them than not saying anything and wasting our time.

Wtf... this is the 2nd batch in a row where one judge has +?ed my file, and it still gets in queue.

Not that I'm complaining or anything.

No, I do that too, but it seems no matter how many times I test it, there's always an error in the end.

                            1. People want a lot of files in the game so they can be famous.
                            2. People don't want to spend more than 30 minutes perfecting a file.
                            3. They don't know how to make a good file anyway, so even if they could spend more time there's nothing they can do.

Yeah, but my point is that it should be accepted because all I did was add a missing note to an already queue'd file.
