no. it was rejected cause it sucked. length is really not a factor in our decisions, so long as it is good. we were given another version of Bridge by someone else... still haven't decided on it.

and FYI... i have TWENTY THREE files in my e-mail inbox. but seeing as i'm working between 9 and 11 hours Mon-Fri this week, I won't be playing them until the weekend. expect a huge update this sat/sun with the 23 songs plus any new ones we get until then. i expect it to be about 30 songs we'll be playing and evaluating.

I'll be sending you the file i'm working on sometime later this week. Dore, jimerax, and Kit gave me a bunch of tips so hopefully it will be a lot better than my gay sharpnel file.

I'm also working on a file (song artist is making a better version of the song, i'm still stepping the first version for experience.)

Any general tips that would help a stepfile not suck? (Besides don't B.S.)

experience and critique... you'll only get better by making more files and getting advice from many people on them. and learn from their advice to make changes and future files better.

Is it possible that if our songs are rejected, we could get some form of commentary?

This was my first that I submitted to FFR, so I'm not suprised that it's not up there, but I'm curious as to where I went wrong. Probably the jumpstream =(

honestly goldenwind.... for that past file? no. maybe Shash has the time to give you some commentary... but i'd have to re-play it to do so, and i don't even have 3 minutes to spare to do that.

from what i recall though... it was good at the start... and then OMG WTF JUMPJACK STREAM retarded nonsense.

i have another 25 files to play... will TRY to get some of them done tonight with Shash and updated here... no promises though. and those i'll take notes on to give reasons why they were rejected.

Yeah, that sounds like mine. I didn't wanna disappoint the pro players, so I tried to make the climax of the song go nuts... I planned the jump stream, but just put in random notes between the jumps. Didn't intend for jacks. To be honest, I can't FC that part of the song, so wouldn't notice really, either.
