The most amusing part is the fact that the automatic detection system has muted Twitch's own official talk show VODs.

You know you fucked up when your own program calls you on your shit.

That said, something like this did need to be done. But holy shit the results are just mind numbingly hilarious. Grab your popcorn guys, tomorrow's PR stunt is gonna be hilarious. I went out and got some cookies because I don't like popcorn, but yeah. Prepare to die of laughter.

I also heard that there will be implementation of a 2 hour maximum time limit on VODs, which basically kills the speedrunning community.

Reasons why every stepmania streamer should switch
1. delay is 2-3s instead of 45s+
2. interface is just as good if not better. broadcaster dashboard is WAY better. managing your settings is super simple. everything is braindead easy to find
3. your vods won't get muted all over the place. all my vods on twitch are fucked because of this so i can't go back and watch hardly anything. I spent 2+ hours yesterday stepping a song on stream and 3/4 of the vod got muted. cool
4. Hitbox also has a partnership program if by some miracle you get partnered for streaming stepmania

I still don't think that this new system, as stupid as it is, isn't very threatening to what Twitch is all about.

I can see a snag in the speedrunning community, for sure, but don't speedrunners usually save a local copy of their run anyways?

Once Live Channels get effected, then we can truly say Twitch is deado.

if live channels get content id (its completely possible because of the stream delay it just needs a lot of computing power) everyone is gonna peace the fuck out of twitch
