    Re: A question about gays/lesbians

uhhhh jurs, Down's Syndrome is not caused by a mutation - it's caused by an accident during meiosis, called trisomy of the 21st chromosome, in which the 23rd chromosome pair doesn't split and separate properly, leaving a gamete with an extra piece, so the child that results from a conception involving the "defective" gamete is born with all their other chromosomes double (like normal) but their 21st one is triple.

    Also TIkimanJr is a dumbass.

I was pretty sure I was taught that Downs was a genetic mutation.

Maybe my teacher was a dumbass.

Well she was, so I wouldn't be surprised if you're right.

          Can you prove that?

          No. You can't.

Can you prove what YOU said?

I had your every day family upbringing with caring parents and a normal familiar life. I even saw my first porn mag when I was really young (6?) and looked at it OFTEN. I was always more intregued by the cocks than the women.

Say what you want but I've been gay for all my life.

No, I cannot prove what I said.

However, I was not so openly abrasive. His post could be summed up as:

"lol ur wrong ps i'm not going to post anything about why i'm right and ur not i'm just going to insult you and declare you as wrong"

Wow. You just used Wikipedia against fs. The world ends.

Also, on the topic of AIDS... straight people get AIDS just as likely as a gay person! Shocking!!

T0rajir0u, you're right - it is a mutation, I suppose. I was basically using a narrower definition of a mutation - i.e. one that only includes those mutations that can be considered independently random events. In other words, my point was that the Down's Syndrome is easily replicable, whereas other mutations are generally not. That would be why it doesn't "die out" - because if a mutated gene dies out, it's usually not likely to mutate again in the same way, whereas Down's Syndrome is.

Replying to Z3ratul *(I play starcraft too ). A homo-sexual relationship doesn't always mean anal sex. I'm pretty sure that if they're having it, it isn't just 1 person getting pleasure from it...

You're kidding, you think that homo-sexuality is because of a mutation during Meiosis? lol. This is funny, about 99% of mutations in meiosis are bad, usually causing down syndrome. Putting it simply, if you take 2 clones and you raised them the same, you're probably going to get the same result in sexuality. IF however, you raised them each in a different environment (1 in homosexual friendly environment, and 1 in a homosexual biased environment) I can guarentee you they won't end up the same...

I agree: One will be openly gay and the other will hide it.
