Glad I didn't ever start smoking.

The people I do know that smoked (and quit) were only able to do it when they had girl/boyfriends, interestingly enough.

In the case of humans, the difficulty of unlearning a conditioned response may be a little more complicated than the burst phenomenon could account for. For one thing, extinction bursts are likely typically defined through experiments in which the disassociation is forced (intervention)... When it's a voluntary thing, the human has to, at every prompt, re-convince herself through cerebral means... And several problems could arise, like a case where the cognitive "idea" of "not smoking", and the real life stimuli that motivated the idea in the first place, disassociate.

I'm so glad i was in this D.A.R.E program in the fifth grade. There was this video they forced us to watch and after that video, i promise myself to never get into that stuff. I can say that i am happy to be drug-free.

Course, that didn't stop my ex-girlfriend. She just lied about it, and became a closet smoker though it was weed I didn't want her doing that.

Why cigarettes and not weed? I'm just curious. Weed isn't addictive or anything, and there's a reason to smoke it lol.

I started to smoke because of the stress, and the stress has never gone away. It's a way to cope for the time being until I am done with school. It calms me to the point that I can actually concentrate on studying. Other than that, I just get side-tracked all the time. That's either ADD or ADHD I get them mixed up.

Is there actually jail time for pot in your state? I forgot how ridiculous the laws are in the states for weed. It's ****ing ridiculous, that and mandatory drug testing when you want a job. BRILLIANT IDEA: To deter people from ruining their lives by getting tired and hungry from a drug far less harmless than cigarettes, and arguably alcohol, we'll make it illigal for them to get jobs.

ADD and ADHD aren't just not being able to pay attention, it could just be the way you are. I think it's an over-diagnosed "disease" personally. Also if you think life is stressful in school wait until you graduate lol. With that mindset you'll be smoking your whole life.
