Cause women want to be kissing an ashtray. Bragging about this is pretty dumb including that filter thing. I don't even know why you would want to smoke a cigarette without a filter. If you can do it without discomfort enjoy dying young lol. INCREDIBLY dumb as ****~

Seeing as I have no fear about dying, unlike anyone who tries to bring someone down about their habits that could potentially kill me I honestly have nothing to say except this...

              Re: Quitting smoking.

It's a good thing that you stopped smoking cigarrettes, they can be very tempting and it is hard to quit but you will need a lot of determination and motivation if you truly are committed to stop completely. It is mostly pyschological but after the first few weeks your respiratory system should be on it's way to being healthy again. Also you'll notice less phlegm built up in the morning, (I know how disgusting it can be I used to be a heavy smoker myself.) Honestly, it won't be easy because your body will start to crave nicotine and you will have withdrawal symptoms but try finding something better to do to keep your mind off of smoking. Find a new hobby and commit yourself to making the best of it or try using a technique like whenever you feel the need to reach for a cigarette, do some push ups to get your blood pumping.

Or do what Emo does and buy a can of some good ol' Grizzly (preferrably mint).

I haven't tried the Skoal Orange btw, it's like 5.14 a can is it worth the money?

PS) Cold turkey is the only way to go. Can't do it? Then you probably can't do it using other methods either..

I've quit smoking cold turkey before, but that's because I had chew and had my nicotine fix. I realize that was dumb, but I like feedin' on some hate towards me. Also, I'll kid you not having a tooth pick handy to chill there like you would have a cigarette helps drastically.

More like $10+ if you're in NYC. Here in CT, a pack of Marbs costs about 8bux.

Too bad I quit last year :<

                        Two words: Extinction burst.

Most people experience it when smoking, which is why they can't stop. So much for "try hard to stop, and it'll happen" right?

Why would you think this? Easing yourself off of it would probably be more tolerable.

Turns out the majority are unable to do that, even the "smart" ones.

Which is why the concept of stupidity and intelligence pisses me off.

Because if you don't cut if off cold turkey, basically, you'll get back into whatever you were trying to quit and say, "Oh, I tried easing it off, but it didn't work.."

                              Basically, making excuses for yourself.

If you really DID have the willpower to quit (over time), you should also have the willpower to quit cold turkey.

Ever wonder why the smoke-quit products never stop showing up? Because they're taking advantage of you to make money. Because they KNOW you're eventually gonna go back to smoking, and you'll go back and forth.. forever trying to quit..

I guess each case is different, I have a friend who for the love of god can't quit cold turkey but he's slowly progressing smoking less and less. I have another one who did that, although wasn't as bad and only smokes on Fridays now.
